Conference on terrorism in Madinah

ref: http://arabnews.com/saudiarabia/article35280.ece

The Islamic University here will host on Sunday an international conference on terrorism to be attended by local and international experts. The conference, under the sponsorship of Prince Naif, second deputy premier and interior minister, will be held under the title “Terrorism between Extremism of Thought and Ideology of Fundamentalism.”

http://iu.edu.sa/erhabcon/indexE.html

According to sources close to the conference, the meeting will endeavor to highlight the moderation and tolerance of Islam.

They said the conference will attempt to prove that terrorism has no religion or homeland and that the gathering is aimed at consolidating the intellectual security in Muslim societies through the spread of the values of tolerance, understanding and dialogue.

The conference coincides with announcement of the arrest of 113 suspected terrorists on Wednesday.

According to statistics, between 2003 and 2009 security forces made a total of 38 precautionary assault operations. During these operations, 32 terrorists were killed and four injured while four security officers were killed and 29 others injured.

101 terrorist incidents took place in the Kingdom during the past 20 years, causing the death of 939 people and the injury of 1,317. There were 26 terrorist attacks against foreigners in which 87 foreigners were killed and 524 were injured.
================================================== ==========

May Allah give the law enforcement agencies of the kingdom more tawfeeq n rewad them n may Allah save us from extremism

One of my ustaadhs mentioned to me yesterday, that he heard from someone, that Shaykh 'Ali al-Hudhaify hafidhahullahu ta'ala once had a dream in which Rasulullah sal allahu 'alayhi wassallam said to him "Lead often in my Masjid, for indeed I like your voice/listening to you"..May Allah lengthen the Shadow of Shaykh Hudhaify over us, and give us the tawfeeq to continue to listen to him in Masjid al-Nabawi.

You can listen to the conference from the Eastern Prvince here: http://www.liveislam.net/browsesubje...&action=listen, but it's only on at certain times.

Sheikh Yaasir Ad Dawsary is due to visit the UK soon. Anyone know about this?

when i went to umrah the all the sheikhs were comin in from the door where the women pray i cant exactly remember the name . Mashallah this is a very clever technique because if they go through the men they will get followed but the women its the other way around ;D. i think it was bab al abdulaziz.

i dunno which door, i saw their cars in the kings palace area. there is now a big bridge thingy leading upstairs into the haram on that side aswell. also further up that way there is a new entrance open from the king palace side which is much quieter..they didnt use the bab abdul aziz.
like this..that door in middle of wall was where they parked and i saw it from my window:

or like so if the crane wasnt in the way i could see

where was al jawaar? they havent knocked down any hotels on that side as far as im aware but i didnt go down those streets to know the hotel names except shopping once or twice and it was too hot n tiring

dont be so sure..women sooooo follow too!

^Al Jawaar was/is in Ajyaad. It was quite close to the Ajyaad hospital and the al Masaa hotel. It was just behind the King's Palace in the Ajyaad area.

Lol at women following them :embarrass but it's true :X

May Allah reward you for sharing your experiences, and AlhumdolIllah Ala al salamah , Alahumdolilah you reached back safely.

N lol , yes men follow them n women might follow as well , but they cant realy stop them n all and gather around them u know , lol they just fllow n tell the other sisters around this is such n such sheikh , but men we go all out , we gather around them, start shaking their hands n kissing their faces or heads ( If they allow mostly they are too humble and dont let u) so lol atleast women cant do that , so u guys get what MB was trying to say.

I once walked Sheikh Saalih Al Luhaidan all the way out of the haram , such a nice person n one of the big scholars, it was after one of the duroos but i realy cant remmebr which gate he left from, i mean cant remmebr the name but it was definetly from the ladies area though.

Sis did u get to hear any duroos lectures or Q and A series in the haram by Sheikh Luhaidan or Al Rajhi or even Waseullah Abbas ?

N yes , i have seeen him announce the sajdah many times , usually when he leads on friday and is due to recite surah Al sajdah he does that.

Masha Allah, this recitation is quite beautiful. Do you know which year it's from? Or which year did you receive the tape in? Is it in Masjidul Haraam? I'll try and ask at Mazameer for you...

Sheikh Khalid Ghamidi was emotional in Salaatul Maghrib today > http://www.archive.org/download/Apri...ib_4-25-10.mp3 at this verse:

And when Musa came at the time and place appointed by Us, and his Lord (Allah) spoke to him; he said: "O my Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You.'' Allah said: "You cannot see Me, but look upon the mountain; if it stands still in its place then you shall see Me.'' So when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He made it collapse to dust, and Musa fell down unconscious. Then when he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to You, I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers.'' (A'raaf: 143)

So yh, here's a sample: http://www.zshare.net/audio/75363824d2c2326c/ . Perhaps someone can find it inshaAllaah.

There was also a recording I used to listen to on the radio a lot, I don't have Surah an-Naba, but have fragments of Juz 'Amma scattered on various tapes that I managed to record it on....

What was most legendary to me was the du'a at the end...

Does your tape have the same du'a at the end?

Dua Khatm ul Quran by Sheikh As-Shuraim.. I think its from Riyadh. Could be Jeddah..Wallahu 3lam.

The dua you posted is from Masjid Al Haraam. Sheikh Shuraim became Imam in 1992.

The Khatm Quran Dua is not from Masjid Al Haram. Its most likely from late 80s or 90-91.

I think I know the one. If it's the one I'm thinking of, the first sentence is so similar that it's only a slight difference in tone that distinguishes it from the other.

Either way, unfortunately I have no idea about the Juz 'Amma accompanying it.

Yes, Hopefully(been hoping for few years), that Sheikh Shuraim will get to do dua this year. His duas are unmatchable!..Sheikh Ghamdi does have good tajweed, but I think Sheikh Juhany has better tajweed and he reads very clear mashaAllah..May Allah protect all the Imams.

The Shuraim interview on haramain recordings was nice. So Sheikh Shuraim was already about 19-20 when he became hafiz and he did hifz in under 6 months! And how much is one hizb lol I use the Pakistani/South African prinited mushafs they just have quarters and rukus. I 'm guessing one hizb= half juz, right?

Sheikh Shuraim usually wears black or brown bisht..very rarely you will see him wear white or other color. And here is fajr salat of Sheikh Shuraim from Jan 16th 2008. It was really cold and windy in Makkah and Sheikh made the salat very short. He even joined ayat in Sura Fatiha, which was rare. The tone he used was from 1422 Taraweeh.

MashaAllah, its really great to know that you will go to umrah inshaAllah. I am jealous of that(in a good way ofcourse). Try meeting some of the Imams this time..especially Sheikh Shuraim, if you meet him, do ask him nicely to lead salaat al fajr atleast once. :p Also, are you talking about Sheikh Saalih Al Fawzaan?

Ameen to the dua, Jazak'Allah Khair brother for sharing these links.

Sheikh Juhany's fajr from 24th May was just Superb mashaAllah..I love when he changes his tone sometimes. He also did Sajda Tilawah in 2nd rak'at. Lot of the people didnt know there was a sajda, and went into ruku. May Allah increase the knowledge of us Muslims and make us among those who love to gain Ilm, apply on it and teach it. Ameen.

I think it's a bug with automatic image resize hack. It's linking all images to it's source. But not always. Sometimes it does link to the site.

Today's Khutbah was strong, and it was a much needed topic.

Is HaramainRecordings.com not loading for others too?

SubhanAllah i knew u meant khalid al jaleel , coz honestly i nebver heared khalid al rashid recite , yes khalid al jaleel is good.

By the way i dont think we need a guest in ramadan.

We already have imams of haramin that do not get a chnce to lead the taraweeh , and on top of that bringing some one else to lead is kinda in appropriate in my opinion.

We have sheikh salih aal talib , we have khalid al ghamdi , we have faisal al ghazzawi , also usamah khayaat and even sheikh humaid.

I mean even when its shuraim sudais juhanee and mahir its still not enough for them to lead and im sure ech of them would love to lead more and there are ALL these imams of haramin that get left out and on top of bring a guest?

I know how much each and every imam in saudi arabia would love to lead in Masjid Al haram , so may be getting a guest for ramadan is not such a bad idea after all but also the likes of salih aal talib n ghamdi and faisal ghazawi should be given a chance as well.

There are soo many good ones out there , u could bring in yasir al dosiri , luhaidan , subaayee , kjhalid jaleel , and how could i not mention al arkani and even sultan al rukaan, there are plenty who have amazing recitations.

Lol alhamdulillah its working!.

I prefer only the haramain Imams to lead taraweeh. There are enough Imams in haramain like brotherubaid said. My list was warming up for coming up ramadan..and here it is:

Makkah:
Sheikh Maahir al-Mu'ayqali
Sheikh Abdullah Awwad Al-Juhany
Sheikh Abdur-Rahman As-Sudays
Sheikh Abu Ibrahim Saud bin Ibrahim As-Shuraim(and hopefully does dua, even though he doesnt have desire for it)

Madinah:
Sheikh Abdul-Muhsin al-Qasim :coolious:
Sheikh Husayn Aal Shaykh
Sheikh Salah al-Budair :)
Sheikh Ali Al-Huthayfi :)
Sheikh Abdul-Bary ath-Thubayti(for tahajjud,may Allah cure him)

Now thats how I want it to go, hopefully.

subhanAllah i totally forgot about the other imams jazakAllah brother for reminding us. i would not mind sheikh salih aal talib mashAllah he has a great voice mashAllah. i remember when he lead in the year 2003 with sheikh shuraim and sheikh sudais i dnt know the reason i wonder if any of u guys know why??.

Its not very easy just to lead in taraweeh its exactly the same process as becoming a khatiib or becoming a imam the king has to approve all this hopefully they will get their turn inshAllah.

madinah have not many imams they only have 4 at the moment and makkah subhanAllah so many maybe 7 or 8 maybe they sud send some of them from makkah to madinah :p

Yeah me too. I still think the student that leads in Madeenah University has a recitation that's closer to Sheikh Shuraim's.

:wa: The madinah Student is one of the best imitator of Sheikh Shuraim, even though he does not use exact same tone the Sheikh has right now. Usually the Egytians say "fagr for Fajr" lol, Also I heard them saying "al-Muagly" hah...I have that file of Sheikh Qasim, its a nice interview. I was going to post it on haramain, but I wanted it to be translated. I think thats where Sheikh Qasim says that he finishes reading the whole Quran in one week. No wonder the Sheikh reads so beautifully in taraweeh as if he is looking at the Mushaf. At min 10:00, I see that Sheikh Qasim was asked about his father (may Allah have mercy on him)..you can hear his voice getting emotional while talking about Sheikh Muhammad al-Qasim.

i wish we could hear sheikh sudais 's advices for keeping the quran. i heard sheikh shuraim recites one juz a day and in rmadhan he increases it to 3 juz walahu'alm this is because how busy he is as he is a judge in makkah high court. we can see this because the sheikh hardly leads salah's now.

some inspirational advices by the sheikh i would like to try that inshallah starting from next week inshallah.

It's Surah Hashar, Ayah 10.

And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful."

jazakallah bro zak i must have read it wrongly sorry my mistake :embarrass. thats going to very nice inshallah i wonder if that person already knows who will be leading taraweeh this year.

we have noticed this that it happened last year in makkah and this year again. however we have not yet seen madinah do anything similar!.

they never partner sheikh shuraim and sheikh sudais together if it was sheikh juhany and sheikh muqaily and sheikh shuraim and sheikh sudais that would be unbelievable and fantastic.

The Ramadhaan rota is usually available just a few days prior to Ramadhaan so we'll just wait and see...

It would be nice to know the Madeenah rota as well, if there is one. Btw, I think Madeenah needs more Imaams, what do you people think?

About pairing Shuraim & Sudais and Mu'ayqali & Juhany, that seems to happen in the last 10 nights of Ramadhaan only :hmm:

EDIT: I just remembered that Mu'ayqali & Juhany were paired for the salaahs in Masjidul Haraam during the five days of Hajj last year.
