Can anyone guide me as to the correct way to declare my intention to pray any of the Sunnah prayers including Tarawih? I have been using the same words as for the Fard prayers and just changing the name of the prayer but a friend told me this was not correct.
Also, I read 1 Juz' per day in English as my Arabic is weak and I want to understand what I'm reading. The same friend told me that I would get no reward for this and it is better to read in Arabic and not understand.
Please help as I want to do the right thing and learn more about Islam.
