Let me be who I want to be
A Muslim who's strong, a Muslim that's free
Doesn't matter what you say about me
I haven't lost it nor have I become crazy
I've learnt the truth and there's nothing going to change
Choosing to be a Muslim does call for some things to arrange
I arrange to use the Quran and Sunnah as my catalogues in life
I'll want to follow their examples as a daughter, a mother, and a wife
It isn't an easy task but I'm willing to take the chance
For it's worth so much to gain Paradise for giving up this life's dance
So let me be who I claim to be
A Muslim who wants to adhere to Allah's Creed
A Muslim who wants to obtain only righteous deeds
True we make mistakes; but the best are those who repent
And life is better off invested in Allah's way than it is in the mundane life spent
