This is my first post on the forum.
I am here to seek knowledge and I may at certain points share the little knowledge I have.
I am a Software Engineer working in India. I am experienced in multimedia (audio, video and image). I am willing to contribute to my religion in every aspect possible. Any query regarding multimedia Insha-Allah I will be able to help.
My Father and Sister both have Nokia Mobile Phones and they wanted Quran (audio) in them. Problem arrived when the mobile phones had only 1 gb of memory card in them and most of it was used and only 150 mb could be freed. The mp3-quran on my pc was approximately 600mb. I used an open source tool to reduce the size. I reduced the size from 600 mb to less and for all mobile phones I have come across.
- quran-for-iphone - 145MB
- quran-in-amr-format - 45MB
- quran-in-mp3-format - 68MB
I put these on easy-share for all my friends to share. AlhamduLillah I did this in the Holiest month of Ramadan and was very happy that many of my brothers did download the various formats.
