After recent controversy over Sufi-related content on my website, www.NewMuslimDhikr.co.uk, I have decided to remove this content. Not because I believe there is anything wrong with it (and I still resent the fact that the link was removed here), but rather that I am most concerned to promote the core parts of Islam, and am willing to focus only on those parts which are uncontroversial for the sake of helping as many people as possible. I don't want to exclude anyone.

Hopefully the moderators here will approve of the change and help me to promote my activities.

assalaamu 'alaikum,
Akhi, I read the article on 'terrorism' and I have to ssay that since you have an article explaining that terrorism is not a facet of Islaam, you should also mention what Jihaad is since many people associate Jihaad with terrorism.

The brief history you gave about the crusades was a good thing to bring up, but also, it is not correct to say that the brothers who conduct this 'Islamic Terrorism' are doing it solely from their whims and desires.

Akhi, do you know how important jihaad is in Islaam? Do you know the types of jihaad associated with Islaam? Did you know that jihaad is the peak of Islaam?

Have you read the ahadith of the sahabaah in relations to jihaad? What about when 900 yahudis were beheaded for treason, do not the kuffar attack that? They consider that barbarism and the like.
No matter how you explain it and try to make it appealing, most will discard it solely because it is Islaam.
I am checking out the rest of your site.

WAllaahu a'lam

Quite right, I'll develop that. I think it needs its own article though.

That's true, and I didn't mean to make it sound quite like that - they clearly have very powerful reasons for their actions. In my opinion many of the actions of those in the 'war on terror' are perfectly understandable, but the fact remains that they are following their anger and sense of responsibility to defend their people, which leads them to exceed the boundaries of Islam.

I will extend that section and make it more balanced. Thanks for the feedback.
