Poem 3

Sincerity

i see him in the distance looking so pleased
a face shining with pleasure and ease
easy to approach, gentle in speech
inspirational..
as though nothing is out of his reach.

with no knowledge, i speak a word or two
"Brother, ive never met anyone as amazing as you"
he tries to smile as his eyes well up in tears,
and i can feel on his shoulders a mountain of fears..

and i wish for a second that i hadnt spoken
as i know just aswell that i wasnt mistaken
for i heard that brother whisper inside
"My lord forgive me.. for that which i hide..."

It won with 10 votes masha'Allah.

JazakAllah khayr to all the other contestants for entering, my personal fave was poem 2, our silent deal :p masha'Allah.
