I seem to remember reading a hadith about furniature in the house, though it was long ago and it is vague in my mind. Something having to do with the only chair needed is for guests and others are for shayateen. Does anyone know this/ can you post it with a citation?
I hope it wasn't something made up. I know the prophet salallahu alayhi wa selaam lived a very austere life, so it makes sense to me that he would say something like this, but I can't seem to find it...
Asalamualaikum
Prophet only says that we should not keep much extra things. We should bring only which is needed there is nothing wrong in buying furniture.
