Making Duaa to the Dead

Asalam Alaikum,

What is the difference between asking 'duaa' from our friends and from asking in duaa to righteous people whether being alive or dead?

Came across this video that makes its clear, Insha'Allah we can educate those "Muslims" that are performing shirk to worst of all sins. May Allah give them hidaya

I really hate this myself and I see myself people doing Shirk and asking to dead people.It happens in Pakistan too.You see theres no use of it.
