Salam. It is mentioned in Quran 15:26-27 and Quran 55:15 that Jinns are created from smoke free fire.

Yet, it is mentioned in Quran 21:30, it says EVERY living things are made of water. Fire cannot be made of water, according to science. Are Jinns made of water or not? Isn't this a contradiction?

no, most likely to be a misunderstanding.
maybe by sharee3ah, jinns arent considered as living? maybe there is something in the text of the Quran that the translation has mixed up. i think its best to ask a skhiekh about this.

:sl:

Misunderstood. Do not thinking water can turned into living things like we make desk from wood, make shirt from fabric, make rubber sandal from rubber.

This is surah Al-Anbiya ayaah 30 with its explanation.
"Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth used to be one solid mass that we exploded into existence ? [1], and from water we made all living things. Would they believe ? [2]."

[1] Heaven in this ayaah is sky not jannah. The universe has expanded from primordial hot and dense. For further explanation read this link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang

[2] There is no living without water. Every living things needs water, every living things contains water in their bodies. Read again biology lesson.

Fire cannot be made of water according to science? When methane combusts in oxygen, explosion is produce and WATER is produced. So water would be there. What science are you talking about? stop blindly believing in science.

Jinns are considered living things because they die. But they are not being addressed in this verse as it relates to Jinn. Even if it does, they are amde of smokeless fire. What does science say about "smokeless fire?" NOTHING.

So you cannot apply the rules of Fire to Smokeless fire. Partial knowledge of science is a double-edged sword.

Even more amazing is it actually is possible to burn water. Back in the days of Hydrogen Bomb testing, there was concern that the tests could produce enough energy to ignite the oceans.

I won't go into the physics involved in igniting water, but it was the source for fuel for some early home made plasma torches. The flame produced by burning water is truly smokeless as the are no elements such as carbon present that could form solid particulates that make up smoke.

Interesting thought that means a smokeless fire is a physical state of water. another thought since pure water has nothing except hydrogen and oxygen in it, it would be impossible for it to produce smoke. Possibly water is the only fuel that can be used to produce a smokeless fire under all conditions.
