Hello My name is Iman
I am a new revert. I'm going to keep my story short, so I don't bore you guys to death in sha Allah ;D

I reverted to Islam in January of 2010 Alhamdulillah
I am 12 turning 13. Some might say, I don't know what I am doing, or am too young to know..
I had this feeling,inside.. I knew Islam was the way. Since I was younger too, I'd always wondered about religion, and more so , how I came to this world, and why I was here. (I'd always been a curious child) My parents , being agnostic, never taught me religion.
I went from Agnostic, to Christian, to agnostic.
Last year, I searched up Islam. I was very drawn to it, but I knew my parents would dissaprove, so I let it go.
This year, I again felt curious. As I learnt more and more about Islam, I knew that it was the truth.
I would be on, until the late of the night, reading and learning about Islam.
One day, I couldn't wait any longer , I had to convert!
This kind lady helped me say my shahada, through the computer.
I wish to say it again at a masjid In sha Allah
I thought to keep it a secret, but recently told my parents.
they're not too happy about it, but, I fight for my beliefs.
At school also i thought to keep it a secret, but realised. Why should I? I'm going to wear my Islam proud!
Everyday , I'm going to admit, is a struggle. But it sure is worth it

wa alaikum assalam :wub::wub:

Allahu Akbar !
great story, :)
I'm really happy that Allah guided you to his right way. It's really amazing that you find the truth at an early age, masha'allah !
You know this life is really short, don't worry about the difficulties you'll have. You'll finally go to Jannah and meet Allah our great merciful creator.
May allah keep you in his righteous path and bring you happiness every day.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story with us. It really gives us strength and increases our Imaan.

May Allah bless you little sister.

it is an unfortunate time for many and so few actually focus on their education let alone ponder the philosophical questions of the ages.. I am sure you'll do great in whatever path you chose for yourself..

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كَذَلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نُنجِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ {103}
[Pickthal 10:103] Then shall We save Our messengers and the believers, in like manner (as of old). It is incumbent upon Us to save believers.

lol.. how do you decide which sect of Christianity are heathens and which aren't when there is a ton of them all considering the others heathens? And how do you know how 'deep' or 'superficial' she went? although indeed when many try Christianity they are met with a huge dead end at the first intersection!

all the best

It is nice to see you here...a thousand congratulations! الفمبروك
I am a new revert too. I am nowhere near a masjid so I had to do shahada on my own.
Hope you are able to learn a lot here. I'm trying to learn Arabic now. It is the hardest language I've ever tried to learn but I am learning to appreciate it more and more. InshaAllah I will get better with it.
