As-salaamu alaikum.

I know that when praying in congregation and the prayer is silent, such as Dhuhr and Asr, then we quietly say the prayer to ourselves.

My question is for when the prayer is out loud like for Fajr, Maghrib and Isha. The imam says the first two rakahs out loud so when he does this, should we still be quietly saying them to ourselves or is him saying it out loud sufficient for all of us?

Thank you
to whoever replies.

Wa'alaikum as'salaam,

When being led by the imam, one should also recite surah fatiah themselves. Any other sura after that can be listened to only.
