this has nothing to do with the upgrade, but im wondering if you can refine your search if you are looking for a particular post in a long long thread? so basically how do you search for a certain post in a particular thread? or cant you?

Wa alaykum salam,

There is an option that allows thread search. Look for it in near the top right area of the thread.

one another thing as well, is its somehow possible to search for the threads thats you've made in a particular section.

Yes, it is possible. Go to Advance search and follow these steps:
