Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb, Ramadaan is the month of the Qur'an so what better time to recite the noble Qur'an as much as is possible and at the same time get one can get into the habit of reciting the Qur'an for the rest of the year inshallah. In normal times outside of Ramadaan there is 10 rewards for every letter that one recites of the Qur'an: Rasulallah (Pbuh) says:

"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a hasanah (good deed) from it (i.e. his recitation), and the hasanah is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem is (considered as) a letter, rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter." [At-Tirmidhi, Ad-Darimi]

But in the blessed month of Ramadhan ALL good deeds are multiplied:

The Prophet peace be upon him said: “Whoever draws near to Allaah during it (Ramadaan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.” – Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887.

Therefore can you imagine how many rewards one can gain for every letter one recites of the Qur'an in this most blessed of months? COUNTLESS REWARDS!!!

So let us not waste a second for it may be our last! Let us get reciting and gain unimaginable rewards inshallah!

Virtues of reciting the Qur’an:

"Verily he who has nothing of the Qur'an in his heart, is like a house (which has been)
destroyed." (At-Tirmidhi)

"Read the Qur'an for verily it will come forth on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its readers." (Muslim)

Tameem ad-Daaree (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuh) said: “Whoever recites (in prayer) with a hundred verses in a night, it will be written for him as devout obedience to Allah for the night.”

So let us recite as much of the Qur'an as is possible for every letter is abundant reward and Allah will reward for it what he likes. We should aim to complete the Qur'an at least once this Ramadan and if we can then more than once. If we can't complete it once then at least aim to complete half and at the very least a quarter.

Ever Been Kissed by an Angel Before?

Habib ibn Abu Jumrah said, "When a man completes the recitation of the Qur'an, an angel kisses him between his eyes."

Here is a hadith which is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas: “The Prophet was the most generous person, and he used to become more so (generous) particularly in the month of Ramadhan because Gabriel used to meet him every night of the month of Ramadhan till it elapsed. Allah's Apostle used to recite the Qur'an for him. When Gabriel met him, he used to become more generous than the fast wind in doing good”.

Therefore let us also become generous by increasing the amount of Qur’an we recite especially as its the last few days of Ramadan and let us gain these HUGE rewards which cannot be gained outside of Ramadan.
