Continuing Guest Fellow's request that non-Muslims interact with Muslims in threads that aren't just about debating.

I was really looking forward to one aspect of this weekend, on Saturday we had our on-snow clinic for instructors at the ski hill where I sometimes work. It was just machine made snow, and none of it had been groomed, but it was still fun to get back on skis.

Then over night the real stuff came down in one of the bigger storms to pass this way in several years. We only got a couple of inches at home, but not far from here they had as much as 6 inches. While that's nothing for those who live in the north, we're down here in southern Illinois and sometimes don't see that much in an entire year.

I have to admit it had me as giddy as a child wanting to play in it. Can't wait till we official open the ski hill this next weekend.

I read pages and pages of notes. I study throughout the week, so nothing special occurs during the weekend. I read my criminal litigation book and made notes. I read chapters on funding criminal cases, bail applications and appeals. It is dull work and there is a lot of content to cover. So, the weekend was boring.

didn't do anything productive, watched the khan vs maidana fight, was this fight big in the states?

Slept most of it, was sick and unable to eat or do anything. How nice right

I'm not taking the traditional route. This alternative route is available for those who are unable to afford the course fees and do not wish to take out a loan. The disadvantage is I will have to wait longer to qualify as a Solicitor but I'm patient and there's no debt involved. I would like to specialise in Probate Practice.

I had a boring weekend i mostly read, painted, studied, watched St.Pierre vs Koscheck...I got excited for nothing when it started to snow and then like a few hours later the sun was shining.

I did absolutely nothing and loved every minute of it, after a hectic work week. :D

Had a lush weekend off where I didn't need to work at all!
Soooooo lovely not having to worry about shopping or wedding/function etc to attend..
Cue this weekend where I will be working...
Aww man...(I am not amused)

Is watching boxing big with Muslims? That is what three people in the thread were watching right? (Pardon my ignorance of the names listed!) I've never once watched boxing.

This past weekend we celebrated Christmas for the kids and my younger son's birthday. We went bowling, out to eat, opened gifts, did some grocery shopping, went to church, etc. This kids enjoyed it and were all tuckered out by Sunday night.

Both Saturday and Sunday I went out at daybreak to feed and water the horses. Wind chill on both mornings was near 30 below zero. Had to fix a few fences that I had strung too tight and they broke when the cold caused them to contract. Spent the remainder of both days trying to thaw out. Good part is today warmed up and the temperature actually got up into the teens.

Every have one of those mornings when it is so cold your car wont start. This weekend I couldn't get the horses to start. Here is poor frost covered Blaze:
