Jannah Relief | The Best House Project

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) has said: 'The best house amongst the believers is the one in which an Orphan is treated well and the worst house amongst the believers is the one where an Orphan is mistreated.' (Ibn Maja).

Jannah Relief, a charitable organization under the Jannah Network, is honored to present The Best House Project. This is a Jannah Network / IslamicBoard communal project.

A year ago, the IslamicBoard community had requested this be reinstated on the forums: an orphan sponsorship.

After some talks with Ummah Welfare Trust, we've decided to go with their 100% policy, as opposed to the other options available, such as IslamicRelief. Though, we acknowledge both of their credibility.

The Orphan Sponsorship Package we chose is 15 British Pounds p/month. We're starting small but the goal is to increase that to 5 orphans by July 2011, insha-Allah.

What's different about going through Jannah Relief as opposed to directly onto Ummah Welfare Trust? We decided to make it a communal project, encourage and instill the art of selflessness and charity. It has also been suggested by you members to form this project once again.

Before we start this project, however, I'd like to get a headcount of how many would financially participate. All donations will be processed through PayPal, which accepts all major credit/debit cards. We'll be updating the JannahRelief.com website with orphan updates and other information.

We've actually had two sisters volunteer to manage this project, so I'm hoping it'll be kept alive and active, insha-Allah!
