I want a good online store that can ship books outside Europe and US in a short time and offer good prices.

Please recommend something you already dealt with.

I have recently ordered a book from the U.S. at www.islamicbookstore.com; "The Creed of imam al-Tahawi" (Hamza Yusuf). I ordered it on 28-01-2011 but unfortunately haven't received the book yet (though I know it has already been shipped). This is the first time I've ordered from the U.S... Let's see..

Also the books I had ordered from Turkey I have received already. From Fiqh to Seerah to Aqeedah and history of all prophets you name it (basically every aspect of Islam), I'm so happy I own these books. At this rate I will probably become an imam soon :D

before making ANY online purchases for books, make sure that you tabulate the shipping charges. simpyislam in England has great prices, but you lose out when shipping is applied. international shipping can be $$$.

google the books that you are seeking. find the stores with reasonable prices and email them. see if you can get on their e-mailing lists or ask about reduced shipping rates. when you get notices of those "free shipping events," place an order! [or my favorite, free 2 day shipping!]

also, see if you local bookstores can order the books that you want.

JazakumAllah khair everyone posted here. What about darussalam.com and dar-us-salam.com?

JazakAllah khair for the tips.
In the nearby bookstore they sell books from IIPH, Darrusalam and some other stores but the books here are much cheaper than the ones they sell online. Unfortunately, the books I want are not available and they can't get them for me.

i'm actually on EVERYONE'S mailing list. the problem with good hardbacks is that they are heavy! cds and dvds are MUCH lighter and a good way to get on the lists. [i got quite a few dvds from simplyislam at closeout prices.]

if you get on the lists [and don't forget amazon], the sales might make up the shipping costs. YES, you get unexpected emails, BUT they CAN make a difference.

i've even contacted online stores and ASKED for discounts, like "i'm gonna spend $150 [or NOT], can you give me a discount?" and some stores have Ramadhan discounts!

you have a website, simplyislam at one time was seeking people to advert for them and you would get a %.

asking is free!

it's not hard to become a smart online customer.

very good advice! JazakAllah khair. Actually I don't buy things online. The only thing I bought online was the domain name and the host for my website.

I liked the idea of advertising, I will see what I can do.

Also, JazakAllah khair for the other websites you suggested.
