there is no word for revert in the arabic language rather it is a terminolgy that has come about recently.

as most of the Sahabah were reverts they called themselves Muslims

However the verb used in the arabic language is ASLAMA -someone who comes into the fold of Islam. Somone who was born a muslim does not use the verb ASLAM for themslvs.

this is what ive come to ...any other suggestions?
