Wslm...

"They will recline (with ease) On Thrones (of dignity) Arranged in ranks; And We shall join them To Companions, with beautiful Big and lustrous eyes. And those who believe And whose families follow Them in Faith -- to them Shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (Of the fruit) of aught Of their works: (Yet) is each individual In pledge for his deeds. (The Noble Quran, 52:20-21)"

^ It's in the Qur'an, so why do you need hadiths? :mmokay:

What if x goes to heaven and x's son goes to hell?
What if x's wish in heaven is for him have his son there? But we know x cannot intercede on behalf of his son... so then his wish goes unfulfilled? Am I missing something?

I am the only Muslim in my family except for my wife. Some of my family is still living and I hope and pray they will become a Muslim before their death. I have no expectation to see my family members in Paradise (if I make it myself) who have already died as Christians, yet if Allah (swt) forgives them, they are His slaves.

Do your best with your family as long as you can reach them in this dunya , convey the message and give your advices again and again just for Allah`s sake (it needs Sabir,Hekmah, humbleness and knowledge) and just leave the matter of guidance in Allah`s hand, He knows but we don`t.

And no matter what will happen (May Allah guide us all and grant us Al Firdaws without any reckoning Ameeen) then Allah told us that the believers won`t be sad in Jannah and this is the promise of Allah, which is truth, and who is more truthful than Allah in statement?. He The Exalted says:"[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk. (33)And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative - (34)He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]." (35) Surat Faatir

and says;"Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs. (45)[Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." (46)And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other. (47)No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. (48)" Surat Al Hijir

"Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah " and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. (30)We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish] (31) " Surat Fussilat

"Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous (67)[To whom Allah will say], "O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve, (68)[You] who believed in Our verses and were Muslims. (69)Enter Paradise, you and your kinds, delighted." (70)Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally. (71)And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do. (72)For you therein is much fruit from which you will eat. (73)"

"Yes [on the contrary], whoever submits his face in Islam to Allah while being a doer of good will have his reward with his Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. (112)" Surat Al Baqarah

"And Allah will deliver those who are the Muttaqun (pious) to their places of success (Paradise). Evil shall touch them not, nor shall they grieve. (61)" Surat Azzumar

"But the ones who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. [It is] the promise of Allah, [which is] truth, and who is more truthful than Allah in statement. (122)Paradise is not [obtained] by your wishful thinking nor by that of the People of the Scripture. Whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah a protector or a helper. (123)And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer - those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed. (124)And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend. (125)" Surat Annisaa

laa ilaha illa Allah, we may think that we are merciful for thinking of our families guidance but we will never ever be merciful to them like The Most Merciful, laa ilaha illa ho and all Praise and Glory be to Him The Most High The Most Exalted; Whom belong to Him all Might and Majesty...
