Our hearts are the same hearts which were given to Junaid Baghdadi and Abdul Qadir Jilani because Allah is just.
They made effort at purification and became Shaykh Junaid Baghdadi and Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani.

We have in our minds that we do not have the capabilities and therefore we do even make the effort.

Four people I could not repay back:

1. A man that greeted me first with Salam;

2. A man who made space for me in the Majlis [to sit];

3. A man whose foot walked with me to fulfill a need I have;

As for the fourth, no one can repay him back except Allah, Exalted and Glorified is He.

4. A man, who some trouble afflicted him, so he spent the night thinking of who he can ask for assistance, then he found me worth of that honour, so he asked me for assistance in it.

It was narrated from Thabit that Anas said:

"We were with Abu Moosa on a journey, and the people were talking and mentioning worldly matters. Abu Moosa said:

'0 Anas, these people are talking too much. Come, let us remember our Lord for a while.' Then he said: 'What slowed the people down (in pursuing matters of the hereafter)?' I said: 'Worldly matters, Satan and whims and desires.' He said:

'No, it is the fact that this world is close, and they can see it, while the hereafter is hidden from them. By Allah, if they could see it with their own eyes, they would not drift or turn away from it."'

In the case of any person whose judgment is really deserving of confidence, how has it become so? Because he has kept his mind open to criticism of his opinions and conduct. Because it has been his practice to listen to all that could be said against him; to profit by as much of it as was just, and expound to himself, and upon occasion to others, the fallacy of what was fallacious. Because he has felt, that the only way in which a human being can make some approach to knowing the whole of a subject, is by hearing what can be said about it by persons of every variety of opinion, and studying all modes in which it can be looked at by every character of mind. No wise man ever acquired his wisdom in any mode but this; nor is it in the nature of human intellect to become wise in any other manner.

Whoever reads history, depression never enters his heart, and he will see that the worldly life is just days that Allah circulates among people: the rich become poor, and the poor turn around and become rich. The weak ones of yesterday are today’s strong ones, and the rulers of yesterday are today’s homeless. The judges become defendants. The victors become losers. The universe goes around and life does not stop, and the events don’t stop happening, and the people exchange their positions, and no sadness continues, and no happiness lasts. ~Dr. Mustafa Mahmud, may Allah have mercy on him.

“Allah, the angels, the inhabitants of heaven and earth, even the ant in its hole and even the fish in the sea, send blessings upon the one who teaches the people good.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2609; classes as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami‘, 1838)

By the grace of Allah, the one who teaches the people something about their religion deserves this supplication, because what he taught them will bring them to something good, In sha Allah.

It's easy to judge. It's more difficult to understand. Understanding requires compassion, patience, and a willingness to believe that good hearts sometimes choose poor methods. Through judging, we separate. Through understanding, we grow.

"And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not any arrogant boaster." (Quran; Surah Luqman:18)

The Prophet saw (pbuh) said:

"The gates of Paradise will be opened on Mondays and on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be said: ‘Delay these two until they are reconciled; delay these two until they are reconciled.'” [Muslim (also by Malik and Abu Dawud)]

“Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales; and do not look for the others’ faults and do not spy, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert (cut your relation with) one another, and do not hate one another; and O Allah’s worshipers! Be brothers (as Allah has ordered you!)." (Bukhari)

How beautiful is this Analogy between Yusuf (Alayhi Salam) and the month of Ramadan by Ibn al Jawzee (rahimahullah)!

"The twelve months of the year are like the twelve sons of prophet Yaqub. And just as prophet Yusuf was the most beloved to Yaqub, the month of Ramadan is the most beloved to Allah. And just as Allah forgave the eleven brothers by the duah of one; Yusuf. He can forgive your eleven months of sins by your duahs in Ramadan." - Ibn Al-Jawzee

Hi Pops :) salaam, (peace)

"Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians (following monotheism) -- whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve" (2:62, 5:69, and many other verses).

"...and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, 'We are Christians,' because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant" (5:82).

"O you who believe! Be helpers of God -- as Jesus the son of Mary said to the Disciples, 'Who will be my helpers in (the work of) God?' Said the disciples, 'We are God's helpers!' Then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved. But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed" (61:14)

These come with qualifiers :)

For each one of you did We prescribe a spiritual law and a well-defined way (- a code in secular matters). And if Allâh had so willed He might have made you all one community (by force), but He wishes to show your perfection (the capacities and capabilities) that He has endowed you with. I made a mistake. This was a saying of Abd Al Qadir Jilani (Rahmatullah Alayh, Alayhi Salam), to people, comparing them to the COmpanions ("you are effeminate ones compared to them").

Ali said something like: "I see none (of you) who is like them (the Companions)".

Note: Abd Al Qadir Jilani emphasized, like all saints of Islam, the love of God. The Qur'an says, "Follow the way of those who come to Me in love".

How about a quote from Allah Almighty ?

He told one day His beloved, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), more or less:

"when I love someone, I become his eyes with which he sees, his ears with which he hears, his hands with which he grasps and his feet with which he walks...if he asks something of Me, I will surely grant it to him."

Seek this in Bukhari.

There has been interpretations, but an interpretation is an interpretation, just like a Tafsir is a Tafsir, Tafsirs are different from a scholar to another scholar, and so on and so on....And some sayings of Allah and Verses of QUr'an and Hadiths are very obvious; not needing interpretations, being very obvious in meanings.

Ye who have done good shall wait for those days till an end is made of those who work evil; and an end of the might of the transgressors. 3. And wait ye indeed till sin has passed away, for their names shall be blotted out of the book of life and out of the holy books, and their seed shall be destroyed for ever, and their spirits shall be slain, and they shall cry and make lamentation in a place that is a chaotic wilderness, and*in the fire shall they burn; for there is no earth there. 4. And I saw there something like an invisible cloud; for by reason of its depth I could not look over, and I saw a flame of fire blazing brightly, and things like shining mountains circling and sweeping to and fro. 5. And I asked one of the holy angels who was with me and said unto him: 'What is this shining thing? for it is not a heaven but only the flame of a blazing fire, and the voice of weeping and crying and lamentation and strong pain.' 6. And he said unto me: 'This place which thou seest--here are cast the spirits of sinners and blasphemers, and of those who work wickedness, and of those who pervert everything that the Lord hath spoken through the mouth of the prophets--(even) the things that shall be. 7. Who love God and loved neither gold nor silver nor any of the good things which are in the world, but gave over their bodies to torture. 9. Who, since they came into being, longed not after earthly food, but regarded everything as a passing breath, and lived accordingly, and the Lord tried them much, and their spirits were found pure so that they should bless His name. 10. And all the blessings destined for them I have recounted in the books. And he hath assigned them their recompense, because they have been found to be such as loved heaven more than their life in the world, and though they were trodden under foot of wicked men, and experienced abuse and reviling from them and were put to shame, yet they blessed Me. 11. And now I will summon the spirits of the good who belong to the generation of light, and I will transform those who were born in darkness, who in the flesh were not recompensed with such honour as their faithfulness deserved. 12. And I will bring forth in shining light those who have loved My holy name, and I will seat each on the throne of his honour. 13. And they shall be resplendent for times without number; for righteousness is the judgement of God; for to the faithful He will give faithfulness in the habitation of upright paths. 14. And they shall see those who were, born in darkness led into darkness, while the righteous shall be resplendent. 15. And the sinners shall cry aloud and see them resplendent, and they indeed will go where days and seasons are prescribed for them.'

Please don't be offended. This is from the Book of Enoch. Grandfather of Noah.

In problematic situations you have three options:

1. Change it

2. Accept it

3. Move on

Pick one, either way stop talking about it!

And whosoever shall be condemned and destroyed will from thenceforth be bound together with them to the end of all generations. 15. And destroy all the spirits of the reprobate and the children of the Watchers, because they have wronged mankind. Destroy all wrong from the face of the earth and let every evil work come to an end: and let the plant of righteousness and truth appear: ⌈and it shall prove a blessing; the works of righteousness and truth⌉ shall be planted in truth and joy for evermore.

I tell you to keep going, not because it’s easy. Not because it doesn’t hurt. I tell you to keep going because there’s no other way. To stop is to die. Life is in motion. In growth. In change. Life is in seeking and in finding. Life is in redemption. Each moment is a new birth. A new chance to come back, to get it right.
A new chance to make it better.

To be honest, the fact that people trust you gives you a lot of power over people. Having another person's trust is more powerful than all other management techniques put together.

Allah knows whats in our hearts behind our actions so don't worry if people don't understand the reason behind your action/inaction. You only have to justify yourself to Allah so do everything to please Allah and know that He doesn't ask much.

You can't change others, you can only change yourself and inspire others if Allah wills.

Man must seek to gain the acceptance of God and not that of the different classes of men. If one is praised and chosen by God, the accusation of all the creatures will cause no loss to him; and if the man is not accepted in the threshold of God, the praise and admiration of all men will be of no use to him.

"You may not realize it, but these days may be your happiest days in life and you're too busy dwelling on the imperfections of them to be grateful to Allah for them or to even enjoy them for yourself. Allah reminds us really fast sometimes, when we think things are bad, what "bad" can really look like. Don't wait for your blessings to be taken away from you to thank Allah for them. Life will never be perfect, but this may be as good as it will ever get for you. May Allah make us grateful in times of ease, patient in times of hardship, and grant us the best of this life and the hereafter. Ameen"
