This really captured my interest. Took me quite a while to answer all the questions.

Here's what I got when I hit the submit button:

Your Results

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

How did the Belief-O-Matic do? Discuss your results on our message boards.

lol. I'm glad that Orthodox Judaism wasn't in the number one position. It's also for 100% but on second place. Alhamdulillah!

Looks like Orthodox Judaism has a lot in common with Islam.

even if this is just a joke, its not really that funny to think or consider that we could be any other faith other than Islam :hmm: becuase being of any other faith besides Islam negates our iman so its not really anything to joke about.

Keep in mind that an Orthodox Jew is a person of the book and as such at one time did worship properly. It is only logical we would agree with true Jewish teachings but see them as incomplete as they have not accepted the Final Prophet(PBUH). We should be in full agreement with the True teachings of genuine people of the book. Although none of them will agree with us 100% as they have not yet accepted the full truth and currently only have a part of it. This is sort of like saying I look at 2 cook books. The first only gives the ingredients for the recipe, the second gives the ingredients plus preparation instructions. I know the second book is true and follow it. But the first book is also correct, in regards to what it has, but it will be of little use for me to use it to prepare a good meal.

I got:

1. Islam (100%)
2. Orthodox Judaism (100%)
3. Baha'i Faith (85%)
4. Sikhism (83%)
5. Reform Judaism (81%)
6. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (69%)
7. Jainism (68%)
8. Orthodox Quaker (64%)
9. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (61%)
10. Liberal Quakers (59%)
11. Jehovah's Witness (53%)
12. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (53%)
13. Eastern Orthodox (51%)
14. Roman Catholic (51%)
15. Seventh Day Adventist (51%)
16. Unitarian Universalism (49%)
17. Mahayana Buddhism (48%)
18. Hinduism (46%)
19. Neo-Pagan (41%)
20. Theravada Buddhism (40%)
21. New Age (33%)
22. Scientology (32%)
23. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (28%)
24. New Thought (27%)
25. Secular Humanism (25%)
26. Nontheist (21%)
27. Taoism (21%)

The fact that some Muslims do not get 100% Muslim as an answer is no reflection they are low in emaan or lack knowledge. It can also mean they have limited knowledge of faiths other then Islam. It can also mean when they took the test they chose what seemed to have been the best answer and selected it even if they did not fully understand it. A few of the questions did seem a bit ambiguous and were difficult to fully understand.

It's not a joke if the test itself were correct.
But as I see it, there are some questions with answers which do not accurately capture even the basics of Islam (I saw that the questions are skewed towards christian beliefs), so I was forced to pick some which are close, but in reality -as far as I know- is not really Islam. There are also differences in fiqh that would force muslims to pick different answers as well. In some questions I had to choose "non-applicable" because the information presented is so limited.

So yes, it's just a humorous attempt at trying to guess our belief based on very crude methods, and I would assume the test makers' knowledge in Islam is less than what we think they should have. We know better. On the other hand, I would have been seriously worried that I did not have the correct belief if the questionnaire had been created by Islamic scholars and housed in islamqa, for example.

Here's mine:

1. Sikhism (100%) 2. Islam (96%) 3. Orthodox Judaism (96%) 4. Reform Judaism (89%) 5. Baha'i Faith (86%) 6. Jainism (77%) 7. Liberal Quakers (69%) 8. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (65%) 9. Unitarian Universalism (64%) 10. Hinduism (61%) 11. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (58%) 12. Orthodox Quaker (55%) 13. I'm not surprised at all that Islam and orthodox judaism would receive similar answers/scores, but judging by the scores that some of us received here, I'm surprised that sikhism is also very close. I dont know much about sikh actually.

:sl:

I believe you and brother Zafran solved the mystery. The Author of the Questionnaire did not sufficiently know the difference between some of the religious beliefs to set a grading system that would accurately separate them. I found it odd that I got 100% for Islam yet you and many other members, who are much more knowledgeable about Islam than I am, did not.
