Walaikum Assalam brother,

Those two are best known as Gog and Magog that will appear before Qiyamah.
The best way to describe their actions in a modern way is to thinks of them as two giant Pacmen who devour everything in their way. The most common belief is that they are presently chained up and await to be freed.
According to traditions by the time they are released all the believers will have left this world so If one gets to meet them that's not the worst news yet.
I hope this helps you.

Allahu A'lam, Yajuj and Majuj is descendants of an asiatic nation ( Heey not Turks in anyway)and Their minds will be mixed with materialism and wild capitalism. Finally They will be a great enemy of humanity. It is mentioned in Qur'an too.

The following verses describe them & zul qarnain. (He refers to zul qarnain). Al-kahf, 18:93-99

Sahih International
Then he followed a way

Sahih International
Until, when he reached [a pass] between two mountains, he found beside them a people who could hardly understand [his] speech.

Sahih International
They said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are [great] corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?"

Sahih International
He said, "That in which my Lord has established me is better [than what you offer], but assist me with strength; I will make between you and them a dam.

Sahih International
Bring me sheets of iron" - until, when he had leveled [them] between the two mountain walls, he said, "Blow [with bellows]," until when he had made it [like] fire, he said, "Bring me, that I may pour over it molten copper."

Sahih International
So Gog and Magog were unable to pass over it, nor were they able [to effect] in it any penetration.

Sahih International
[Dhul-Qarnayn] said, "This is a mercy from my Lord; but when the promise of my Lord comes, He will make it level, and ever is the promise of my Lord true."

Sahih International
And We will leave them that day surging over each other, and [then] the Horn will be blown, and We will assemble them in [one] assembly.

Assalaam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
Bediuzzaman says :

"The particular events mentioned by verses of the Qur’an are the tips of universal events. Thus, through his prophetic guidance, Alexander the Great, who was Dhu’l-Qarnayn, founded a barrier between the peoples who were oppressors and those who were oppressed, and built the famous Great Wall of China to prevent the raids of those cruel enemies. Similarly, many powerful kings and world conquerors like Alexander the Greek followed in the path of Dhu’l-Qarnayn materially, while prophets and spiritual poles, who are like the kings of man’s spiritual world, followed him in respect of spiritual matters and guidance; they built barriers between mountains-one of the most effective means of saving the oppressed from oppressors, and later constructed strongholds on mountain tops. They founded these themselves through their material power, or through their guidance and planning. Then they built walls surrounding towns and citadels inside the towns, and finally they made machine-guns and Dreadnoughts, which were like mobile citadels. The most famous barrier on earth, the Great Wall of China, covers a distance of several days’ journeying and was built to halt the incursions against the oppressed peoples of India and China of the savage tribes known in the Qur’an as Gog and Magog, and otherwise known as the Mongols and Manchurians. These tribes several times threw the world of humanity into chaos, and pouring out from behind the Himalayas wrought destruction from East to West. A long wall was built between two mountains close to the Himalayan mountains which for a long time prevented the frequent assaults of those savage peoples, and barriers were also built through the efforts of the kings of ancient Persia, who resembled Dhu’l-Qarnayn, in the mountains of Caucasia, in the region of Darband, to halt the inroads of the plundering and pillaging Tatar peoples. There are very many barriers of this sort. Since the All-Wise Qur’an speaks with all mankind, it mentions what is apparently a particular incident, recalling all events similar to it. It is from this point of view that the narrations concerning the Barrier and Gog and Magog, and the writings of the Qur’anic commentators about them, all differ."

There's no proof that Alexander the Great is Dhulqarnayn. And the rest of the explanation (about the great wall of china, the mongols, etc) is also just speculations, not to be taken as facts.

They are small size people who will then attack on the humans and kill them ... This kind of fake story we mostly heard in childhood. Well the true part is they are locked behind a mountain or a wall.

Assalamu Alaikum to all,

One should be careful about throwing accusations against possible Salihin and also against scholars like Said Nursi, Allahu Walam would by far be the best approach here.
Historically speaking one can never trust the writings of Non Muslims as in the case of Alexander, the Greek version of his life should not qualify him as a decent human never mind anything else.
As the case of Dhul Qarnayn does not pose any Shariah dilemmas to our daily Ibada it's best left to the Ulama to sort out.
A reminder that to us Muslims the messenger is more important than the message, least we fall into the webs spun by the Shaitin naas some times referred to as the Academics.
Where there is no Hawf Allah S.W.T even the truth is a lie.
Iblis's greatest weapon is that he always uses the truth but as he is still a liar.

Brother Alex was known to be pagan. Second, the aya came in response to the questions given by the Jews to test Prophet (pbuh) and they don't have religious importance for Alex the Great. This is also speculation, but Cyrus the Great fits more into this description. Cyrus the Great freed jews from slavery so he is an important figure in Judaism. If I remember correctly he helped with the restoration of Torah too. He had great kingdom, from east to west. He appears to be an humble man even though he was a great king as opposed to Alex. He was also known as the two horned one because of his helmet.
