Asalamu Alaykum!

What does Islam say about boogers? Is it haram to eat them? Is it true that they are healthy for the imune system?

Not that I eat them or anything, I'm just wondering if there are any verses or hadith about this. :hiding: :hmm:

Right. Interesting topic (Not really its disgusting :hiding:)

Yeah I heard that too- I think it was an austrian? lung specialist who said that boogers are good for your immune system but thankfully its not something that is unanimously agreed on by the medical world.
But something that im little bit curious about is why someone would like to know what the Qur'an or the Hadith says about boogers?. Seems a bit peculiar :hiding:

lol, a not so interesting topic :-\

I dont think its something 'sensible' to eat them, its not very, whats the word? 'kool'!!!

Its probably classed as healthy when you 'produce' them but not so healthy eating them :-\ Allaahu Alam..

Wait.. i think i'm going to be sick!

.. peace ..

I want to be intelligent, so I read about a lot of diffrent things in Islam. Now I was thinking abotu boogers, so I tried using google etc. but no results, but I was like "maybe Islamic Board knows something about this" but that dosn't seem like.

W/salam.

There is no hadith about this at all?

Seems like the arabs did not have hay fever. The Sahaba was not used to boogers. O.o

I see that you continue your habit of trolling, skunkman (aka zuzubu). Consider this as another friendly notice from a friend.

As for boogers, there are endless subjects that Islam does not DIRECTLY address, such as "can I eat bricks?",
however, Islam provides more than sufficient guidance and foundations how to live every aspects in life Islamically.
That's set aside, let's see what Islam says about eating booger
There are several qur'an ayats and ahadeeth that forbid us from eating/ingesting harmful things, and there is also a Qur'an ayat that tells us to seek information/advice on a certain subject from the experts.
Combining those daleels, I'd suggest you to go to your doctor and ask if eating boogers is harmful for you or not. And if they say is not harmful, then it is up to you whether you want to eat your booger. And if you've done that, please come over here and tell us about your experience.

I didn't know what is booger. So, I 'googled' and saw some pictures.

My question : Is booger "ingus" in Indonesian language ?

I'm sorry, I can't put it in the sisters section. I did also not see the puzzle forum, u can move it if you wish. I don't care, no one here has that knowledge that he can answer.

^It doesnt need to be in the 'sisters section', im sure the 'man' in skunkman makes it alot clearer insha'Allaah..

Brother its a bit of common sense really, give a good reason to why someone should eat something like that? Allaah SWT gave us a brain and Alhamdulilaah which means he gave us the ability to use it , some things can be answered by logic and sense insha'Allaah

If you really want to know, like brother Naidamar suggested ask a knowledgeable scholar..

.. peace ..
