Assalam Alekum Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam.

My brother asked me this.

Rukne Yamani is the crack in the holy kaaba where Ali was born.

The story of Ali's birth in rukne yamani

Fatimah binte asad, the mother of Ali, was in labour pains. She went up to the Kaaba and said:

"Oh God, I have firm faith in you, the prophets, the books sent down by you, and the speech of my grandfather- the builder of this house. Oh God, for the sake of this child in my womb, make the birth of this child easy." An instant later, the south-east wall of the kaaba opened. Fatimah binte asad entered this crack and the crack then closed. She was the guest of Allah for 3 days in the holiest place and then gave birth to her child- Ali. This was on the 13th Rajab. She came out of the kaaba and Mohammad met her and said: "I heard a message from the unseen to call him Ali."

This crack in the kaaba is still there on this very day.

That is,obviously look fake to me.I know Ali RA was born in The Holy Kaba but so as another Sahabi RA and hope there is nothing like that crack thing but i want correct information to pass it to my bro.
Jazakallah For your help :)

It's as fabrication as holy trinity.
And please be aware that wikipedia and similar pages are not very fond of Islam, and there's so much lies, fabrications and deceits about Islam in that site. Even the page in wiki from where you cited this does not provide any hadith source. Anything pertaining to deen must have the basis in the Qur'an and Sunnah, and there's no hadith that says Ali was born inside the wall of Ka'bah.
I think we shouldn't put anything here that we know it's not the truth.

Yup,i know its a fabrication but i dont know the details.

Wikipedia pointed that out them selves and asked the people not to believe it just because it was posted on wiki.Here..

The neutrality of this article is disputed. Please see the discussion on the talk page.
wikipedia.

That is indeed a very good point.I did'nt think about this before.I'll keep this in my mind strictly next time and ask for hadith sources while talking about such incidents :)

I think we shouldn't put anything here that we know it's not the truth.
So where we should go to ask about things like that ^o)
Indeed that looks fabricated to me but to tell this to anyone who ask me about that matter,i need to know the whole case correctly and i thought i can get correct information from here Inshallah that will help me make my brother understand.
I read another topic in the forum which was about sects and someone locked the thread.Atleast bring the correct information to people and then lock it,dont leave such questions unanswered as we all are learners here and we dont know plenty of things like above.

Salam.
