Islets of Langerhans is located in Pancreas, we learnt this in our 10th std biology class. I still remember.

The longest ayah of the Qur’an is ayah 'mada'ena' (Qur’an 2:282), It consists of more than 31 phrases. (had to search for it on google)

The actual ayah:

http://quran.com/2/282

O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down. And let a scribe write [it] between you in justice. Let no scribe refuse to write as Allah has taught him. So let him write and let the one who has the obligation dictate. And let him fear Allah , his Lord, and not leave anything out of it. But if the one who has the obligation is of limited understanding or weak or unable to dictate himself, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men. And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses - so that if one of the women errs, then the other can remind her. And let not the witnesses refuse when they are called upon. And do not be [too] weary to write it, whether it is small or large, for its [specified] term. That is more just in the sight of Allah and stronger as evidence and more likely to prevent doubt between you, except when it is an immediate transaction which you conduct among yourselves. For [then] there is no blame upon you if you do not write it. And take witnesses when you conclude a contract. Let no scribe be harmed or any witness. For if you do so, indeed, it is [grave] disobedience in you. And fear Allah . And Allah teaches you. And Allah is Knowing of all things.

Interesting.. I would like to know more on this.

Name of the father of our prophet Ibraaheem (alaihe sallam) was Azar , This ayah shows that his name was Azar:

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ آزَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا آلِهَةً

And [mention, O Muhammad sallaho wa alaihe wa sallam], when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do you take idols as deities? Surah Al-An'am (6:74)

Ibn Abbas say that His name was Terah, and Ibn Jarir says " The correct opinion is that his name was Azar, and probably he had two names."

He had three sons, Ibrahim, Nahor and Haran. Ibrahim alaihe sallam was second son of his father.

As Qurratul mentioned, straight path is the path of Mumineen which was choosen by Allah SWT and guide us through Quran and Sunnah.

To answer in one word,"Straight path is "Islam". :statisfie

fourth Q: complete the answer habibati, go ahead.
The ayah's which were revealed Before Hijrah (Muhammad SAW migration to Madinah" are called "Makki" ayah's.And those which were revealed after Hijrah, are called "Madani ayah's" :statisfie

after answering Endy I will put the results for this level in shaa Allah and for also the whole game round 1
Do i have to share the trophy with Qurratul :p

His name was `Abdul-`Uzza bin Abdul-Muttalib. His surname was Abu `Utaybah and he was only called Abu Lahab because of the brightness of his face.

His wife was among the leading women of the Quraysh and she was known as Umm Jamil. Her name was `Arwah bint Harb bin Umayyah and she was the sister of Abu Sufyan. The name of surah which mentioned abu lahab is surah Tabbat (Chapter - 111) or surah al-masad or surah Al-Lahab.

The mother of prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu Alyhi wasallam
) was Amina, daughter of Wahab bin 'Abd Munaf bin Zahra bin Kilab.

how many sons did the prophet have(post the number and names)and who are their mothers answer is :

The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallaam) had three sons, two by Khadijah (Radi allahu anha) and Ibrahim, a third son by Maria Qabtiyyah (Radi allahu anha).

The first son was named Qasim and the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallaam) came to be known as Abu Qasim.

The second son, 'Abdullah was also known as Tahir (the pure) or Tayyab (the good). Both died in their childhood.

Qasim and Abdullah (Radi Allahu anhum), their mother was Khadijah (Radi allahu anha).

The third son was Ibrahim (Radi Allahu anhu). Maria al-Qabtiyyah (Radi allahu anha) gave birth to a boy, Ibrahim, but he died when he was 17-18 months old.

How many uncles the prophet Muhammad(Salla Allahu Alyhi wasallam) had? and who are they? and mention those who embraced Islam from them and who didn`t, please.

‘Abdul-Muttalib had ten sons, Al-Haarith, Az-Zubayr, Abu Talib, 'Abdullaah, Hamzah, Abu Lahab, Ghidaq, Maqwam, Safar and Al-'Abbaas. ‘Abdul-Muttalib,was grandfather of Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallaam). (Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum, p.53)
Abu Lahab and Abu Talib did not embrace muslim.
'Abdullaah, was father of Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallaam). So total uncles are 9. My question is how can be there 10 uncles?

Sister Amat Allah I think the answer is 9 uncles.

http://www.islamicboard.com/quran/13...ahabas-ra.html

Imam Ahmad recorded that Anas said that a man said, "O Allah's Messenger! Where is my father'' He said,
«فِي النَّار»

(In the Fire.) When the man went away, the Prophet[Salla Allahu Aleihi Wassalam] called him back and said:
«إِنَّ أَبِي وَأَبَاكَ فِي النَّار»

(Verily, my father and your father are in the Fire.) Muslim and Abu Dawud also collected this Hadith.

Q1- Where to find this Aayah in Qur`aan( number of Ayaah, the name of Surah and the number of the Juzu)?

Answer 1- Surah Al-Anbiyah' (The Prophets) surah no.21, ayah no.78, Juz no. 17 .

Q2- two persons have been mentined in the Aayah; who are they and what kind of kinship between them?

Answer 2-(I don't know if I have to mention them in detail or short.) They are Dawud (alaihe salam) and Sulaiman (alaihe salam). Dawud alaihe salam was prophet and king. Sulaiman (alaihe salam) was his son, he inherited Dawud in Prophethood and kingdom.

وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُودَ سُلَيْمَانَ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ

And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. (30) (38:30) Surah Sad

Allah tells us that he gave Sulayman to Dawud as a Prophet, as He says elsewhere:

وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ

And Solomon inherited David. (27:16) meaning, he inherited prophethood from him. Dawud had other sons besides Sulayman.

Who was Dawud (alaihe salam)?

Dawud (alaihe salam) was a man of fine feature and short height with blue eyes, and was ruddy (having a healthy reddish color).
After Dawud (alaihe salam) killed Jalut (Goliath), he became a hero overnight, and Israelites loved him. They wanted to see him as king over them. However, after Allah had granted Dawud (alaihe salam) the kingdom of Israel, it was the first time that Prophethood and kingship both came together in one family. Dawud (alaihe salam) became king as well as a Prophet. Allah said:

And indeed We bestowed grace on David from Us (saying): "O you mountains. Glorify (Allah) with him! And you birds (also)! And We made the iron soft for him." (10) Saying: "Make you perfect coats of mail, balancing well the rings of chain armour, and work you (men) righteousness. Truly, I am AllSeer of what you do." (11) (34:10-11)

And We subjected the mountains and the birds to glorify Our Praises along with Dawud (David), And it was We Who were the doers (of all these things). (79) And We taught him the making of metal coats of mail (for battles), to protect you in your fighting. Are you then grateful? (80) (surah no. 21:79-80)

Allah had softened the iron for him either miraculously in his hand, or granted him the knowledge to make it soften. Allah has also taught him the skills of making armours out of iron so that it could be worn in war and provide protection against the enemy's attack.Allah softened the iron in his hand that Dawud (alaihe salam) did not need fire or hammer to make armour from iron. He has been mentioned in Quran as " man of strength" meaning strength in devotion and doing of good deeds.

"and remember Our slave Dawud (David), endued with power. Verily, he was ever oft-returning in all matters and in repentance (toward Allah). (17) Verily, We made the mountains to glorify Our Praises with him [Dawud (David)] in the 'Ashi (i.e. after the mid-day till sunset) and Ishraq (i.e. after the sunrise till mid-day). (18) And (so did) the birds assembled: all with him [Dawud (David)] did turn (to Allah i.e. glorified His Praises). (19) We made his kingdom strong and gave him Al-Hikmah (Prophethood, etc.) and sound judgement in speech and decision. (20)" (38:17-20)

Allah had granted Dawud (alaihe salam) good voice, that whenever he sang his Book, the birds stopped in the air echoing with him and glorifying Allah with him. The mountains as well joined him in praise and glorification of Allah, every morning and every evening.Dawud (alaihe salam) has also been bestowed upon with fast recitation of his book, Zabur. It would take him to finish reading the Zabur what took for a horse to be saddled. It was a fast act of recitation with understanding which was granted by Allah.Zabur was the book revealed to Dawud as a Prophet, which according to a hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad, was revealed in the month of Ramadan. It contained admonitions and wisdom for his people.

Who was Sulaiman (alaihe salam)?

Allah had granted Sulaiman (alaihe salam) from everything he needed to govern as a sovereign, more than what he granted other kings and rulers before or after him. He was given huge armies of men, jinn, birds, wild animals, and the knowledge and science of other things, and the ability to understand the other silent creatures. Allah counted this as one of the manifest bounties upon Sulaiman.

And Sulaiman (Solomon) inherited (the knowledge of) Dawud (David). He said: "O mankind! We have been taught the language of birds, and on us have been bestowed all things. This, verily, is an evident grace (from Allah)." (16) And there were gathered before Sulaiman (Solomon) his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they all were set in battle order (marching forwards). (17) (27:17-19)

Q3- wh at is the story of this Aayah? and the final jugde was for whom?

Answer 3 - It is narrated from Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'As (radi allahu anhu) that the Prophet [Salla Allahu Aleihi Wassalam] said:"When Sulaiman completed the building of Bait-ul-Maqdis, he asked Allah for three favours, of which he was given only two, and we hope that the third favour will be for us. Sulaiman asked for judgement which could correspond to the judgement of Allah, and Allah accepted his prayer in this respect. He also asked for a kingdom which nobody could be given after him, and this prayer was also accepted. He also asked Allah that anyone who leaves his home only for the purpose of prayer in his mosque, all his sins may be forgiven to become like the day he was born. We hope that this one Allah may grant it to us."The judgement which corresponds the judgement of Allah, we find that the Quran has mentioned it in this Ayah:

And (remember) Dawud (David) and Sulaiman (Solomon), when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night and We were witness to their judgement. (78) And We made Sulaiman (Solomon) to understand (the case), and to each of them We gave Hukman (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and knowledge. (21:78,79)

(And (remember) Dawud and Sulayman, when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night;)
Ibn Jarir recorded that Ibn Mas`ud said: "Grapes which had grown and their bunches were spoiled by the sheep. Dawud (David) (alaihe salam) ruled that the owner of the grapes should keep the sheep. Sulayman (Solomon) (alaihe salam) said, `Not like this, O Prophet of Allah!' Dawud (alaihe salam) said, `How then' Sulayman (alaihe salam) said: `Give the grapes to the owner of the sheep and let him tend them until they grow back as they were, and give the sheep to the owner of the grapes and let him benefit from them until the grapes have grown back as they were. Then the grapes should be given back to their owner, and the sheep should be given back to their owner.' When Dawud heard of it, he cancelled his previous verdict and ordered the new one.

Q4-what is the meaning of the word نَفَشَتْ in the Aayah?

Answer 4- نَفَشَتْ is perfect verb فعل ماض, the actual word is nafash. In Tafsir Ibn kathir,Ibn `Abbas said: "Nafash means grazing.'' Shurayh, Az-Zuhri and Qatadah said: "Nafash only happens at night.'' Qatadah added, "and Al-Haml is grazing during the day.''

Dictionary meaning of نَفَشَتْ is : The sheep or goats, and the camels, pastured by night without a pastor or without the knowledge of a pastor: or dispersed themelves by night: dispersed themselves and pastured by night without knowledge [of the pastor]: or the sheep or goats entered among seed-produce.

نَفَشَتْ simply means pastured at night.

It is in Juzu 16 and the Surah before Surah Ta-Ha is Surah "Maryam".
The first Ayah of Surah “Maryam” is “كٓهٰيٰـعٓـصٓ* And only Allah SWT knows the meaning of these words which are called “Hurrofe Muqatta’at.The Disjointed Letters.

Lets have a look at the translation of these ayah’s and then,we’ll move to explanation.

(20:124) But whosoever turns away from this Admonition from Me shall have a straitened life; We shall raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection,

(20:125) where-upon he will say: "Lord! Why have You raised me blind when I had sight in the world?"

(20:126) He will say: "Even so it is. Our Signs came to you and you ignored them. So shall you be ignored this Day.
(20:127) Thus do We requite him who transgresses and does not believe in the signs of your Lord (during the life of the world); and surely the punishment of the Hereafter is even more terrible and more enduring.

There are two punishments mentioned for those who ignored the signs of Allah SWT,Quran and who disobey Muhammad SAW.

The punishment in Dunyah will be,

He will have a harsh and rigorous life.
Here people might think that pious people also have a life full of destitution?Specially majority of Prophets AS have to endure great calamities and misfortunes?Various Ahadith told us that the severest trials were suffered by Noble Prophets AS and the joys of Dunyah is for Kuffar’s and they will face hardships in the hereafter for their evil deeds. While Muminoons will face hardships and trials in Dunyah and they will be blessed with high ranks in the Here after.
There are two ahadith to solve this puzzle.
One Hadith says that this hardship will be the one they face in the grave.
There is a tradition in Musnad Al Bazz on the authority of Sayyaduna Abu Huraira RA that Muhammad SAW said.”The words “مَعِيۡشَةً ضَنۡكًا” (Straitened life) refers to the existence in the grave”.
(Mazhari)
Another Hadith says,
Sa’id bin Jubair RA reported that these people will be deprived of the gift of contentment which will result in an overpowering greed of worldly goods.(Mazhari)
No amount of wealth will ever give them peace and content.
So it can generally observed that people who ignored the signs of Allah SWT ,have wealth but without peace of mind and that’s their punishment in the Dunyah.

The punishment in the day of resurrection will be,

They will raised blind and they wont be able to find a way where to go and will end in hell fire.

Q5: This Surah had been revealed before the Islam of the second of the guided caliphs (May Allah be pleased with them and you and the whole Ummah Ameen); who is he? and what is the story of him embracing Islam?
This Noble Caliph was Umar RA.
Before reading his story of embracing Islam,we need to look at the virtues of this amazing Surah.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu reported Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alaihe wasallam as saying, "A thousand years before creating the Heavens and the Earth Allah Ta’ala recited Ta ha and Yaseen. And when the angels heard the recitation they said, ‘Glad tidings for those people to whom this comes down, good news for those hearts which carry this and good news for those tongues which utter this."
(Darimee

And the Barakah’s of this beautiful Surah (which is also known as Surah “Kaleem” because it contains the story of “Kalimullah) turned the heart of Umar bin Khattab RA and gave Muslims the glad tidings of his turning to Islam.
Here is the touching story.
One day the Mushrikin were discussing the issue of Prophet (SAWS). They said, “Who’d want to volunteer in killing him?” ‘Umar (RA) said, “I will!” They said, “Yes, you are the man for it.” So ‘Umar (RA) carried his sword in the middle of a very hot day in Makkah and he was walking down the streets to Dar al-Arqam. One of the companions who was practising Islam in secret, saw ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) and he realised that there was something wrong. So, he (RA) told ‘Umar (RA), “Where are you going?” He (RA) said, “To this man who has disunited our people and has made fools out of us and who has cursed our gods, I am going to kill him.” The Companion (RA) told him (RA), “It seems that you are too confident in yourself. Do you think Bani Abdul Manaf are going to let you walk on the face of this earth if you kill their man?” ‘Umar (RA) was upset, so they started an argument. Then ‘Umar (RA) continued, “I think that you have become Muslim and if I am sure that you are Muslim, I am going to start by killing you first!” So, the Sahabi felt that there is no hope in carrying on this discussion in this way, he told ‘Umar, “Before you go to RasuluLlah, why don’t you take care of our household first?” ‘Umar (RA) said, “What do you mean?” He (RA) said, “Your sister and husband have become Muslim” This Sahabi said this when every other argument did not work. So now ‘Umar (RA) changed his course and he went straight to the house of his sister. When he (RA) got next to the door, he heard them reciting Qur’an. Fatimah bint al-Khattab and her husband Sa’id ibn Zayd (RA) (who was the cousin of ‘Umar {RA}) were being taught Qur’an by Khabbab ibn al-Arat (RA). When he (RA) knocked the door and they saw that it’s ‘Umar (RA), Khabbab (RA) immediately went into hiding and Fatimah (RA) hid the scroll of the Qur’an under her thigh. ‘Umar (RA) came and in and said, “What was that humming sound that I heard?” They (RA) said, “It was nothing we were just talking.” He (RA) said, “Don’t lie! What was that noise? And have you become Muslim?” Sa’id ibn Zayd (RA) said, “Well, what if Islam is better than your religion?” At that point, ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) attacked Sa’id (RA), he threw him to the ground and then he sat on top of him. When Fatimah (RA) saw that, she came to defend her husband, ‘Umar (RA) struck her. It came onto her face and she started to bleed. She (RA) then said, “O’ Enemy of Allah, you hit me just because I believe in Allah? Whether you like it or not I bear witness and testify that there is God but Allah and Muhammad is Messenger of Allah, do whatever you want!” When ‘Umar (RA) saw the strength emanating from his sister, the confidence and to blood on her face, he regretted what he had done. He felt sorry for what he had done with his sister, so he moved away from Sa’id (RA) and sat down and said, “Hand me over your scrolls.” She (RA) said, “I wont.” ‘Umar (RA) said, “What you said, struck a cord in my heart and I promise you that I will return the scrolls to you safely.” She (RA) said, “You are a Mushrik and in state of impurity so you have to make Ghusl first.” ‘Umar (RA) went and did Ghusl and then came back. She (RA) handed him the scrolls. ‘Umar (RA) started to recited the Ayaat in the scroll:

TaHa.We have not sent down the Qur’an unto you (O Muhammad {SAWS}) to cause you distress. But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah).A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. And if you (O Muhammad {SAWS}) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names.” {Noble Qur’an 20:1-7}
When ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) recited, he said, “Is this what Quraysh is against? The One who has spoken these words needs to be worshipped. Where is Muhammad?” When Khabbab bin al-Arat (RA) heard this, he came out of hiding and said, “I think ‘Umar Allah (SWT) has accepted the du’a of RasuluLlah!”in which he asked Allah to strengthen Islam with one of the two Umar (RA)’s, Umar (RA) ibn Al Khattab or Abu Jahl who also had the name Umar (RA). They (RA) told him where the Prophet (SAWS) was meeting with the Sahabah (RA). ‘Umar (RA) went to Dar al-Arqam, and knocked the door. The Sahabah (RA) peeked and saw that it was ‘Umar (RA), so they all sat down. Hamzah (RA) looked at them and asked, “What’s wrong with you?” They (RA) said, “It’s ‘Umar” He (RA) said, “So what is its ‘Umar? If he came for good, then he is welcomed, if he came for evil, then we are going to kill him with his own sword.” Hamzah and another companion (RA) opened the door and they held ‘Umar (RA) by his arms and they brought him to Prophet (SAWS). He (SAWS) said, “Leave him alone.” They (RA) released ‘Umar (RA). Then the Prophet (SAWS) pulled ‘Umar (RA) by his clothes, brought close to him and said, “Why did you come here O’ son Khattab? Aren’t you going to stop fighting Islam until Allah is going to destroy you?” ‘Umar (RA) said, “O’ Messenger of Allah, I have come here for no reason other than believing in Allah and His Messenger.” Prophet (SAWS) said Takbir. When the Sahabah (RA) heard the Prophet (SAWS)’s Takbir, the whole place erupted with Takbir. It was so loud, that they immediately had to disperse because everybody else could hear it.

perfect answers habibati 10 glittering points for ya sweetie May Allah make me deserve your love and kind words. May Allah proptect you from all harm and evil and May He The Exalted never let the hellfire touch you ever Ameeeeeeeeeen

but there is something to point to which is this part you have posted above:

Before reading his story of embracing Islam,we need to look at the virtues of this amazing Surah.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu reported Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alaihe wasallam as saying, "A thousand years before creating the Heavens and the Earth Allah Ta’ala recited Ta ha and Yaseen. And when the angels heard the recitation they said, ‘Glad tidings for those people to whom this comes down, good news for those hearts which carry this and good news for those tongues which utter this."
(Darimee
Concerning the virtues of Soorat Ta-ha there are some da’eef(weak) ahaadeeth, which I will quote here to draw attention to them and warnpeople against them. 1- It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah, may He be blessed and exalted, recited Ta-Ha andYa-Seen one thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, andwhen the angels heard the Qur'aan they said: Glad tidings to the nation to whomthis is revealed, glad tidings to the hearts that carry this, glad tidings tothe tongues that speak it.” Narrated by al-Daarimi (2/547). The editor said: Its isnaad isvery weak. Ahmad said of ‘Umar ibn Hafs ibn Dhakwaan: We rejected his hadeethand regarded him as very weak. In al-Mu’jam al-Awsat (5/133) it says: IbnHibbaan said in al-Majrooheen (1/208): This is a fabricated text. Ibn al-Jawzisaid likewise in al-Mawdoo’aat (1/110). Ibn Katheer said in Tafseer al-Qur’aanil-Azeem (5/271): It is weird. Al-Albaani said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah(1248): It is munkar. See also al-Kaamil (1/216) and Lisaan al-Meezaan (1/114).
