Al-hamdulillah we are pleased to confirm that Al-Salam institute’s Oxford autumn and winter course dates, titles and venue have now been finalised. Please see the attached poster for further details. Please also note the following important points with regards to the venue and payment.
1) We have changed the venue for the Oxford classes back to Oxford Brookes University from Regal community centre, (which is advertised on the poster). The change was made primarily for the convenience of a number of students who are travelling from London via coach.
2) Please also note all students must register and make the payment by the Friday before the class starts.

12 WEEK COURSE

Please note: Students are encouraged to attend the full term of 12 weeks, yet are welcome to attend individual lessons. Furthermore, Shaykh Akram has already taught 24 weeks of these courses, therefore new students will continue from the current point as the courses are expected to continue for some years.
10am-12pm
Sahih al-Bukhari
A detailed study of the excellence of Imam Bukhari's isnad and fiqh.
This is an on-going long term course on the detailed commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari.

12pm-1pm
Exploring the Lives of the Pious Scholars
From the monumental work of Imam al-Zahabi's Siyar alam al-Nubala.
This is an on-going exclusive long term course. In the first session, Shaykh Akram will go through his notes from the circles of Shaykh Yunus one of the greatest Hadith scholar of our time.

2pm-4pm
Sunan al-Tirmidhi
A critical study of isnad, rijal and hadith criticism.
This is an on-going long term course on the detailed commentary of
al Jāmi` al- sunan al-Tirmidhi of Abu 'Eesa Muhammad ibn 'Eesa al-Tirmidhi.

4pm-5pm
Badai al-Sanai’i
Examining Hanafi judgements and arguments in comparison with other scholars.
This is an on-going exclusive long term course on Hanafi judgements and arguments in
comparison with other schools of thought. Shaykh Akram will be going through the text
Badai al-Sani’i of the great Hanafi jurist Imam al-Kasani.

5pm-6pm
Shafi’I Fiqh
with Dr. Afifi al-Akiti
Umdat al-Salik The reliance of the traveller
(Dates to be confirmed see website for further details)

6pm-7pm
Tafsir of the Qur’an
Relations between verses and surahs; how to apply guidance.
This is an on-going long term course on Tafsir of The Glorious Quran. In this class
Dr. Akram Nadwi will teach tafsir of the Quran based on the concept of thematic and structural coherence, which was developed by the great Indian scholar,
Mawlana Hamid al-Din Farahi [D.1930]. Students are encouraged to attend the full term of 12 weeks. However they can still attend individual lessons.
Please also note that Shaykh Akram has already taught over 100 weeks of this course and new students will continue from the current point as this course is expected to continue for some years.

Fees
£210 per term (payment must be received on or before the first lesson)
£20 per day (provided payment is made via the al-salam website and received)
by the Friday before the class. This applies to maximum of four individual lessons.
If students would like to attend more than four lessons, the full price is payable.
£35 payment made on the day (max of four lessons)
