Salaam sis.

try out this page from facebook (fauzia's kitchen fun) ... they have wonderful recipes ... sorry can't post you the link, iam not a full member yet. :statisfie

You can cook any dish as long as the ingredients are halal.. were you looking for something specific?
And obviously, you won't be able to add alcohol to your dishes as that'd make it haraam (although I'm sure you already knew that!) There are alcohol substitutes though, so I'd say that pretty much any dish can be Halal as long as the ingredients are fine.

i know but i wanted something quick to make really i never use alcohol or pork i know thats forbidden...just wanted something simple and quick to make for her...

You can make english dishes if you want, just buy halal meat and make it :hmm: my personal quick dishes are, chicken with rice and salad, chicken tortilla wraps that contain salad also, egg sandwiches that contain salad also, hmm I also get a muffin and top it with tomato sauce the kind that goes on pizza and put some chicken on top with cheese then leave it in the oven for 10 mins. Grapes are really nice side snacks to any meal I think, I love having grapes after every meal or water melon. It's good if you can try to include a small portion of salad in every meal.

Basically, you can cook anything you like, but avoid using:
alcohol and any kinds of products that use alcohol during its making, pigs and all kinds of pork products and all kinds of food product that use pork products.
Also use only halal meat (you may buy halal meat from halal stores or halal butchers and then store them in the freezer).
all fish and seafood are halal.
all fruits and veggies and plants are halal.

:sl: check out this site, it has lots of halal menus alhamdulillah. Furthermore, she's a Muslim that post how to cook videos on YouTube. I haven't try following her recipe cuz.... What on earth is a Nutmeg and Oregano?

What on earth is a Nutmeg

nutmeg is a spice, not herb, in Bahasa Indonesia it is called "biji pala", which I think it also the name in malay.

One time, all nutmeg trees only grew in one small island in Maluku, Indonesia, it was the world's most expensive spice and the dutch gave manhattan to the english in order to have the right to occupy and monopolize the island.

read this book, it's fascinating :

JazakAllahu Khairan, I was under the impression it was a herb but I just remembered.. you need to kind of grate it so it isn't.

Wa'alaikum as'salaam,

I believe just about anything is halal so long as it doesn't have alcohol or animal by products in it. peanut butter and honey on a toast always tastes good :)

i just thought some sisters would have recipes that they enjoy to make like a speciality..if u get wot i mean..dishes they enjoy to make...thanx for everyones help.
