Was wondering if anyone has any exp of selling on ebay, I've made some personalized t-shirts, I've made the design myself and got them printed, Hopefully, I'll also be giving a percentage of the profits to a local charity, known as FOA(Friends of Al-Aqsa).
If you want to give me any tips on selling on ebay etc, would be appreciated.

The following is are the t-shirt designs(front and back).

salam brother,

Ebay is great channel to attract customers to your business.. it is pretty safe and secure for the most part.. I haven't sold anything my self but have bought a few items and my expereince was pretty good..

the best thing to do is start selling a few items and once you get feed back for being a quick shipper or whatevever(as long as you give the customer a good experience) he will give you feedback which will add to your credibility and hopefully you can sell more shirts....

I like that fact that your donating some proceeds to a chairty and perhaps you could indicate that on your ebay account..

may allah reward you

good luck

Peace brother,
May Allah reward you with the best for your effort,
You can upload the single free picture and also upload large pictures free to photobucket.com
Then embed them free in large size to your eBay listing,
You can also embed a YouTube video and even get it to autoplay,

Check out my listings for an idea,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/abzcomputers/m.html

Or google eBay abzcomputers

You're usually better off offering free delivery on buy it now purchases as you can ensure 5 stars on that feedback and absorb the delivery cost in the listing price,
And it is usually better to send 1st class as customers are usually happier to receive items quickly.

Pm me if you need help with embedding,
Peace,

been on ebay for 11 yrs but mostly as a buyer.. I did sell some of my books and my costumey like clothes from J peterman co. which are now discontinued for a good profit..
Ebay always sides with the buyer though, and there have been cases where sellers were taken for a ride. I had a problem with some dweeb, I sold him a review course, but he didn't like the price he bought it for, a 'remorse buy' so he filed a not as described citing that I wrote November as the release date instead of September, even though in the body of the description i clearly stated the release date. Anyhow I refunded him got my kit back but when I received it I filed a counter claim because he has made copies of it, the pages of the course were blue he sent them back white, so ebay refunded me my money and I got to sell the item again to another person having described fully the experience to be quite honest for me it doesn't pay to be a seller on ebay but it is great for buyers.
So if you're selling brand name stuff keep your certificate of authenticity, because there are thieves who are buyers, and one doesn't get so lucky to prove their case to ebay unless they have proof for me the proof was the blue pages magically turned white .. It is more trouble than it is worth if it isn't a business and ebay fees are exorbitant if you don't know your way around..
and for that reason Br. ABZ some people charge you $3.00 for the item & $700 shipping & handling because between ebay and pay-pal fees your profit is marginal.. Kudos to you though that you offer free shipping..

:w:

you have to give a full refund including delivery cost if you're at fault anyway, (and even if you're not - it is a good idea to do so in order to ensure 100% satisfaction)
free delivery along with top rated also bumps up your listings in best match,
so it can be useful - this is on buy it now only.

But I wasn't at fault.. and I think that in many cases the seller isn't at fault but they believe in that 'customer is always right' even though they make their fortune from sellers .. somethings can be copied & returned to you which is certainly easy for a review course with CD's that can be transferred to a USB unit. Also and maybe it is reasonable but you can't give a buyer a negative feedback when clearly many deserve it. That douche bag had two previous sellers file claims against him as a non-paying bidder, somehow they managed to give him a neutral but I didn't see that option because I wanted to wring his neck. I wouldn't have cared so much except that I had two problems
1- I was going on holiday and couldn't deal with his protracted antics and the 2nd is that I knew he was a thief I had to file a nonpaying bidder against him because he hadn't paid for 9 days and when I did he paid only to copy the material and then file not as described. He was Indian but not Muslim I'd have been a bit more forgiving.
So you can see if this is a daily occurrence I'd be very irritated .. you can't please everybody..

Then again as a buyer I appreciate that there will be no seller retaliation if I leave a negative for a crappy product and in my entire 11-12 yrs on ebay I left negatives twice so I am reasonable. One guy just stole the money and sent no product and they had to close his account because he had done it to everyone in a span of a week and they couldn't refund us because his pay-pal had insufficient funds, and another guy who sent me two broken perfume bottles yet magically the box wasn't wet nor had a hint of perfume spillage.

lolllllll!!!!!!!!!!!! - i know stealing isn't funny but i couldn't help laughing at the way you described it,
i don't get what they intend since they don't last very long,

check this out - funyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy:

he probably thought I was stupid or something and kept insisting that I should have bought insurance and that he offered it as an option.. freaking thief but that was around 2000 so ebay wasn't as strict as it is today.. al7mdlillah I managed 100% feedback through the years

btw that's one queer auction. I have seen auctions for people wanting to punch you or you punch them and even for soiled under clothes.. all sorts of sickos out there

i've also come across a few funny ones - we had this famous one here in the uk that fetched £8,999.00
for a used wetsuit,
the maker of the wetsuit found it hilarious and threw in a few things
so he offered to give 95% to charity
then everyone jumped on the bandwagon and bumped it up with free stuff
he had to set up a website so people could ask questions about his listing
it is a good way to make people smile and help a good cause too,

the questions and answers were even funnier but they're now gone.

Ebay is an honest website from what I heard. Though make sure you calculate the delivery costs beforehand and let the customers know, my friend forgot once and it resulted in a misunderstanding.

it is mostly honest - but there are always a few miscreants few an far between.

Jazakallah for your feedback!

To be honest, Like I mentioned, were just a new business started up! We cant afford to do free shipping etc, sadly.

I'd like a t shirt like that footballer was wearing, that said Palestina or something like that can't find the youtube vid now.. Also would like ones in black with La illah illa Allah on it... I am not big on flags outside of the Islamic one..

:haha: love it.. why shouldn't we support our troops?

Ebay is horrible if you're a seller, especially if you accept paypal as a method of payment, because they all ways side with the buyer. And take the money out your account and say you owe them the debt.

Good... Because my brother's trying to convince me to cough up and I was pretty sure I didn't have to!

I once bought an expensive perfume through ebay from New Jersey, USA.
The perfume turned out to be fake, because I know the actual smell of the original as I still had another bottle at home.
I complained to the seller, and they apologized, saying in the process of packaging some items must have been switced or something (which is a b.s.) and they promised me to refund my money if I send it back to USA.
I didn't send it back because it would have cost me so much money to send the package first class to USA.
That was the last time I bought anything from ebay.
