Asalaamu alaykum waRahmatullahi waBarakaatuh

Anyone good at writing stories, novels?

I'm working on a Da'wah project which could be big inshaa' Allah
, so I need good writers who especially like writing good stories (novel size.)

So if you want to get involved, reply here with the following details:

- Have you writ any story before, if yes - can you link me to it or make a page full just so I know your writing style.

- How much dawah experience do you have? If not, its okay but if you do - it will help alot.

- Explain Why you want to get involved.
Just answer these, and once a fair amount of people respond, we can all meet on a specific forum to discuss and share ideas. I've got alot of ideas alhamdulillah, so I hope you respond soon.

If you know any people who are good writers, please forward this to them.

I don't know if I can be of any help. You decide:

I have no formal education. I flunked it all. However, after realising I was a fail, I embarked on a journey of discovery, and adventure that showed me the power of words. And how they manifest into images and stories in the mind. I read so much that one day, when I was working as an advertising sales executive for a newspaper (selling adveritising), my talent for wordplay was recognized. Shortly after, I got the chance to be the editor for brand new magazine.

So, I became an editor in my mid to late twenties. I'm in my mid to late thirties now. But I am unemployed at this moment subhan-Allah. I'm considering a career change because I am fed up working for the media. It's full of lies and misrepresentations, supported and goaded on by hungry men with dark agendas.

Also, I have never written a story. But I have submitted articles for print, because certain people failed their deadlines (close shaves there).

I go on tabligh jamaat around twice a year. I try to do 40 days a year but I have been unable to complete that so far. I usually end up doing between 6 days and 13 days. The most time I have spent is 20 days in one jamaat. I'm not a good da'ee though bro. I forget a lot of things. My memory can do with some sharpening.

This effort you are on bro, is a noble effort. And though I feel unqualified for the reason that I am not a talented writer (just someone who likes the impact words can have on the soul), If I can use my experiences to help with your dawah project, then Alhamdulillah.

okay. I had just written out a reply and somehow the cursor ended up in the wrong place and i lost all of it.
I've written short stories, novellas, and poetry. I have been published twice online on a now defunct site, sadly, and the site I had saved everything on was hacked and i lost everything. That was a pretty distressing time. I tend the write the way I talk, was a researcher for my geology professor, and love to edit work . Being an english major at the uni ( and a russian studies major ) I wrote more papers than i can shake a stick at. I have no dawah experience as i've just recently reverted, but I would love to help.
and Allah knows best.

:salamext: bro Scimitar, i'm looking forward to your work because i've seen your work on other forums (about your youtube channel). Sister serena, we need your professionalism and Russian. Sister syilla, we need your skills with children and malay (malaysian language.) I want to make an 'Islamic bookclub', and I will try to contact professional Muslim Book and Author organizations once we get started with some good ideas.

Who Am I?

:sl:

I used to write, but then I quit for many years. I have recently tried to start writing again, but I just can't seem to find my rhythm at the moment. I have several documents on my computer where I have tried to start something, but only got a page or two into it before it stops.

If I can ever get over my massive writer's block, I'll be glad to throw my name in. For now, consider me a reservist. I'll watch and wait and see what comes up. Maybe I can find something that will inspire me.

Yeah. I've written The God of All Things. Here's the link for you to check it out:

Paperback Book

and

Kindle Edition.

It's book review on amazon.com:

This book has impacted my life in such a profound way, I am reading it for the second time and highlighting very important parts. Rajasa Robbins has answered questions that so many people only wonder about but never really have the guts to ask. My life has changed in such a positive way. After reading the book I think about my actions and thought process before I decide to react or respond with negativity. The trials/tribulations that I may be going through or even the calamities/natural disasters of the world have taken on a new meaning in my life. Once upon a time I used to think that someone who has a handicap was worse off than the one that didn't. After reading this unbelievable depiction of truth through proof and reason, it has without a shadow of a doubt renewed my thought process and belief in the truth. I truly believe whoever gives this book any time will be hooked waiting for what is going to happen next. It will change your life.

I had started a book discussion here in IB but had got sort of busy to continue it... so it lies somewhere here in this forum, collecting dust. Insha'allah, I'll get back to it when I get the time.

I'm the creator of Islamic Boot Camp, a series of audio lectures inviting people to the truth. That was my first attempt at dawah. After its success, I went on to write The God of All Things to explain in detail the lessons narrated in Islamic Boot Camp. I've uploaded the audio lessons on YouTube along with several other videos on Islam. You can find those here:

Hehehehehehe! I get involved in dawah because of that terrible word: responsibility. I will be questioned about the knowledge I have. It kinda scares me to death.

So if I can be of any service to your cause, just let me know.

Jazakallah khair.

Further questions to those who want to get involved:

Where do you get your ideas of the story from?
(from real life people? other books? your own experiences?)

If we made a new book in the future - do you want to make your own full novel
(after getting ideas from others), or do you want to make a book with other authors working with you?

What language do you want to write the Book in? And what culture do you know best?
Because your book should be focused on an audience whose psychology you know really well.

Please answer them questions (if you want in detail), because from your answers - I can give you feedback, and we will have more ideas on what to make your book about.

It takes just ONE person to take the initiative, brother. You have shown the desire and the eagerness to do something that is considered one of the best deeds in Islam... daw'ah. May Allah reward you with success. Ameen.

Jazakallah khair for this opportunity to do good.
