Fajr Academy
Back to Basics

Where we want the best for our children, to be happy and healthy, to make mama proud, to succeed in this life and the next.
Fajr Academy is an English and Arabic medium school serving Nursery to O-Levels.

It began with a question:
Why adapt western education to Muslim values, Why not develop our own vision?

Seeking Allah’s pleasure, we decided on a simple but bold vision:
To design and implement a modern educational system for Muslim children modeled on our earliest generations.

Join us on this journey…
You can watch 'The Fajr Journey' video here:

It looks really good mashaa'Allah. You should try to record a minute or so of a normal lesson and show everyone how they kids enjoy themselves.

3 year olds? Man, you must really have a lot of patience, then.

I get too annoyed with my Sim toddlers...

Assalamu-alaikum sister,

MashaAllah - we certainly need more Islamic-based education systems, from the foundation phases.

You are fortunate to have only 12-16 kids per class.
My mum teaches grade 1 (in fact she was my pre-school teacher when I was starting out :)) - and the classes this year range between 40-60! (these are at our public/ state-run schools).
You can imagine how difficult it is to keep control and teach with such numbers.

All the best with this great initiative.

And may Allah reward the educators abundantly.

Do you know, for every child that you teach - you are gaining sawaab when they put that ibaadat into practise.....without withdrawing any of his/her rewards?
What an immense blessing, not only to the scholar of deen, but also the teachers!
SubhanAllah.

Salaam

So you'll learn how to use one too? That's cool. If all the calculators simultaneously break, you're still good.

See, I'm not very good at math. That's how I ended up being a history nerd. :p

Now I want to learn how to use an abacus. I'm kind of a throwback anyway, so it would fit the rest of my personality...
