Hi all,

I've just recently become very interested in Islam, and am working to find more information to decide if I wish to really be a true Muslim. I do want to believe, and I agree with so much in it all. =)

I'm curious, what are the views of Islam on this new discovery of the 'God Particle'? Do we take this as a new opportunity to understand more about what God has given us?

It seems as though many people would like to take this as evidence to disprove of our God. I think other people may think that I would be more ignorant now, to be believing in a God, however I know that their opinions are often made without full understanding of how we see God, and it makes no difference what other people think about my beliefs anyways.

Does it disprove our God? Or does it excite us to learn more about our universe? Do you reject that there is such a 'God Particle'? And Why or why not?
I've thought, and am wondering that the name of the particle may be misleading, is it not? For the God Particle found is not an ALLAH Particle, is it not?

What are your thoughts?

Thank you all for opening my mind to Islam and for teaching me of your ways.
