This picture really does not do justice to the number of people that actually come to the mosque.

Really nice thread though. Love the Jami Masjid.

Yes. The BBC news page had some photos of Eid in/around East London Mosque, and that was the only one of the inside. But that's absolutely correct, doesn't do justice at all.

Feel free to post more pics of Salaatul Eid.

Salaah in this ruined masjid......look at the brother on the wall!
MashaAllah!

May we be able to make such efforts to read all our salaah (and in congregration for men), despite any challenges we may face.....at ALL times.
Ameen!

JazakAllah khair for this thread ukthi : )

(I would have shared some pics......but I read at home with my mum, over an internet broadcast of a local eid-gah.

There is a brother on the left hand side has a beard, the one next to a light blue capped brother, whose face cannot be seen, Sister ~Zaria~

^ You missed out an extra "r"

Anyways...

:jz: for the amazing award. I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone and without the precious support (sobbing) I would not have made it...

So, thank you, thank you and thank you and Allaah bless you all. Truly.

P.S. Apologies for being off-topic, but I couldn't help responding to dear Sister Endymion's post

MashaAllah ukthi!

You know, as much as these pictures give us a sense of happiness and unity amongst our brothers and sisters, I think we should also be feeling a sense of sadness.....

Because:

1. Its sad that there are parts of the world where the sunnat of our beloved prophet (salllalahu alaihi wasalam) is so neglected......that we have to ardently search for the one who stands out from the crowd.

2. These congregations should be occurring EVERY SINGLE DAY, in EVERY SINGLE MASJID, for EVERY SINGLE SALAAH!
Not just for the Eid Gah!
How many of our masjids are already running close to empty - and its not even one week past Ramadaan?
