WOW thanks sis! lol @ opera ;D

btw does Japanese have specific tones in the words like in Mandarin? Mandarin has 4 tones.. if one were to mix up the tones in the word the meaning might change. Is it the same for Japanese?

no, japanese has not tones for hiragana and katakana sillabaries, the issue can be different for use of kanji that are chinese characters imported in Japan ( but with same different meaning ) sametime. Off course the meaning of sentence can change if u not get in clair way what is the subject and object of sentence ( many japaneses leave words in sentence, thinking that other person understand the contest of talk )

off course to pronounce is important, for example the consonants sounds like :

fu that sound like "wu" ( similar to english "who" )

sh that u must pronounce like "sc"

chi like "ci"

hi like "ch" full ( like german ich" )

r sounds like "l"

j like "gi"

z like light "s"

y like "ie"

the vocals "u" like "u" with semiclose lips and "ei" like long "e"

there are double vocals and sametime the vocal "u" is leaved to end of a word like "desu" ( to be ) is pronounced like "des"

the "l" of katakana words ( words adopted by foreign languages ) sametime is pronounced like "r" and sametime it's possible to hear "Arrah" by japanese converted muslims :hiding:

boku wa hon ga yomitai desu i want read a book ( i read a book "boku wa hon o yomimasu" )

for interrogative
