Given how much controversy there has been over evolution in the United States (it's mostly fundamentalist Christians objecting to it in that country though) I was curious to know what the Muslim world tends to think of it. Interestingly, I've seen very little dicussion of it on the Islamic sites I've visited, and in the lectures I've listened to. (Though it's certainly possible that it's widely discussed, and I just haven't come across many of those discussions). Do Muslims tend to believe in it? Disbelieve in it? It is not considered an issue of great religious importance?
