Qur’an is better than Music
Sunnah is better than Tradition
Prayer is better than Sleep
Silence is better than bad words
And whoever does all these good works are better than all.

Mash Allah, yeah you are right, it is better for us to don't speak too much because it may affect your personality or may anyone can get hurt with your words we should perform good deeds so that Allah become happy with us. May Allah give us power to follow the right path ameen
