Salaam everyone,
The Noble Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:---"Whenever a non-mahram man and woman meet in seclusion, Shaytaan is the third one joining them". [Tirmidhi]

This Hadith teaches us that Shaytaan arouses their passion and incites them to commit evil. To avoid promiscuity, infidelity, abortion and disease, therefore, non-mahram sexes must be separated, within reason. With this, the possibility of temptation of weak souls towards unchastity is also avoided.

Many Regards.

A good reminder. I think a major problem today is that there are too many Muslims I see who openly have boyfriends and girlfriends. This boyfriend/girlfriend things is completely forbidden and Haraam in Islam. I know for a surety that Allah is displeased with this matter. He doesn't like that boys and girls get together like this and have children out of wedlock. It creates too many issues and He is best aware of this than we ourselves are. Jazakallah for posting this Hadith and your two cents on it as well.

Salaam.

You should not take non-mahrams as friends. Your intentions may be pure, but there intention isn't. And shaytaan is always here to make sure that you don't stick as "just friends". By befriending the opposite gender, you opened the first door of shaytaan that can lead to all sorts of haraam. Don't let shaytaan get the upper hand, you should cut all sort of means of the shaytaan. Talking to the opposite gender is the first step in haraam things like dating, sexual harassment/abuse, and even more extreme sins.

If you truly want to keep your intentions pure and maintain your dignity, you wouldn't be friends with them in the first place...Teenage males are excited for women, and want to do things with these women who make themselves vulnerable. No doubt when you are alone with him/her, the shaytaan will come and do his work, if the shaytaan doesn't get to you, he will get to "your friend".

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whenever a non-mahram man and woman meet in seclusion, Shaytaan definitely is the third one joining them.” [Tirmidhi]

And let me show you a hadith which encourages women to be chaste and pure and modest, trust me after reading this, you will never meet him again insh Allah.
Allah's Messenger said, "When a woman observes the five times of prayer, fasts during Ramadan, preserves her chastity and obeys her husband, she may enter by any of the gates of Paradise she wishes."
