We have a Mosque being built but there is not one currently so i am wondering, what should i be looking towards, and practicing on my own to become a member of the Islamic community before we have any official places?

These are just a few links I found on IslamicFinder. There could be more centers elsewhere which are not mentioned here. You can also search them yourself by visiting http://www.islamicfinder.org/cityPra...sh&country=usa

There is now two masjids in Alaska Alhamdillah. I know there are two in Anchorage, which is where i live. I think one being built in fairbanks but I could be wrong. But I am just happy its in Alaska, and a place where I can go and feel at home. @thestockingwolf you should come to Jummah sometime at the Masjid on spring street if you live in Anchorage. Its beautiful.

Good to see that even remote locations like Alaska see Islam growing
