Q: My question is regarding Iblis. If anyone knows Allah well, it's probably Iblis. What I don't understand is with all the knowledge and experience he has of Allah why is he not scared of the punishment of the hellfire. Why does he not seek Allah’s forgiveness and repent, and if he did will Allah not forgive him?

A: The criteria for acceptance by Allah Ta'ala is not intelligence, instead the criteria for acceptance by Allah Ta'ala is good intentions and righteous works (after bringing Imaan). The Hadith explains that Allah Ta'ala does not look at your outer appearance and wealth, instead He looks at your good intentions and righteous actions.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

عن أبي هريرة قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم وأموالكم ولكن ينظر إلى قلوبكم وأعمالكم (صحيح مسلم # 2564 )
