Jews and Muslims worship the same god. Christians on the other hand do not.
This comes from a Jewish perspective and I found it to not be bias(at least for me).
 
islam mentions all three faiths as being sent from allah swt.

why that is.

and what people say, is just a simple term of understanding.

I think that we all worship same God (His name might be what ever - in my language it is Jumala).
