Many wish to learn the basics of Deen and to strengthen its foundations. They wish to equip themselves with sacred knowledge that is essential: the knowledge that every Muslim must have. Foundations is a certificate program designed for students, young professionals, and other busy women who yearn to learn the basics of sacred knowledge, yet find limited time to do so.
The program is self-paced. Students can take any number of courses they wish in a term according to their schedules. Time commitment can range between 2-4 hours per week, depending on the number of courses a student wishes to take.
Courses taught in the program address the basics of Deen. They are designed to build and enhance a student’s understanding of sacred knowledge.
Minimum duration for the Program: 1 year (3 terms)
THE FORTY—ARBAEEN OF IMAM NAWAWI
The Prophet s.a.w. said:
“Whosoever memorizes and preserves for my people forty hadith relating to their religion, Allah will resurrect him on the Day of Judgment in the company of jurists and religious scholars.”
Imam Nawawi, a prolific scholar of sixth century hijri, carefully collected 42 rigorously authenticated ahadith of the Prophet s.a.w. This comprehensive compilation contains ahadith addressing a variety of topics including Iman, piety, fiqh, purification of the heart, love for Allah. It gives a holistic understanding of the teachings of our beloved Messenger s.a.w, and can serve as an excellent beginning for a seeker’s quest of religious learning.
“The Forty” is a free online course on the explanation and commentary of forty ahadith of our beloved Messenger s.a.w, collected by Imam Nawawi.

A free online course on the essentials of the fiqh of purification
Troubleshoot your basic, everyday issues related to the fiqh of purification. This course will address the following topics:

• Tayyamum (Dry Ablution)
• Menstruation and Post-natal bleeding
