Assalaamu Alaykum

I wish to know whether it is possible to save unbelievers from the hellfire by praying for them. The unbelievers may be uncontacted tribal people who never had the opportunity to hear the word of Allah (SWT) or loved ones who do not have much knowledge of the noble deen. In both these cases the people are not rejecters but simply did not have opportunities to learn. How will Allah (SWT) judge their souls and can anything be done for them?

if one died as a disbelievers , we are not allowed to pray for him / her .

Most probably it's a hadith that says some will claim on the final day that , O Allah , if we knew about Islam , we would have accepted it . Then Allah will command them to jump in to fire . Those who will deny to jump will be told , I am Allah and u are not obeying my orders now . Then how come u would have accepted Islam in the world without seeing and hearing me ? Then they will be thrown in to fire forever .

Those who will obey Allah and will jump , they will be saved :statisfie

And Allah knows Best . Remember Allah is Just . So there will be no injustice done to anybody. Allahu Akbar.

Wa alaykumsalam wrwb

If the non-muslim has passed away, then the matter is between the person and their Creator. We have no right in trying to intervene, as the wrong action is towards the Creator. If they are still alive, then yes you may pray for them to be guided. God is Just, and also Most Merciful. If a person were to have died without having the message of Islam reach him then I am sure God will judge them in accordance to His attributes.

"..And never would We punish until We sent a messenger.."
