Hi!
I'm a writing a book and I was thinking to have one of my characters that is getting married to have a Muslim girlfriend gift her with adorning her hands and feet with henna for her wedding. I want to know if this is cultural appropriation and therefore offensive or if is allowed or if is something that a muslim woman will consider appropriate to do for a dear friend.
Thanks for the answer!

Hi, welcome to IslamicBoard...

Thank you for taking the time to inquire about the "usage rights" of something related to Muslims.
Bridal henna is just for adornment, it does not have any religious implications. There's no harm if a non-Muslim uses it or if a Muslim uses it for a non-Muslim.

But having girlfriend/boyfriend is something which is not allowed in Islam. Islam does not allow any kind of pre-marital relations.

Oh sorry when I said girlfriend I meant a girl that is a friend of the bride. Just wanted to clarify that it was another female doing the Bridal Henna. Thank you so much for the answer!
