Some simple etiquettes to remember when ringing someone:

○ Do not ring late at night or early in the morning

○ Before you start with your life story, ask if the other person has time to speak to you or if they only have a small amount of time

○ If they don't answer, don't keep ringing them non-stop for an hour

○ Keep your conversation decent and to the point; think about the other person who might have other things to do

○ If they're busy, ask when a good time to ring back is

○ If you're ringing for the first time, introduce yourself so they know who you are

○ Don't give "one-ringers" and expect them to call you back

○ If they ask you to call back at a certain time - make sure you ring back on time. If you can't ring on time then send a courtesy text letting them know

○ Start and end your conversation with salam (obviously applies to muslims only)
