I’tikāf in Islam

I’tikāf (solemn assembly in islam) is in Literal meaning: Persistence with something and confinement of oneself unto it, but Al I’tikāf in the context of shari’ah implies: Staying in seclusion in the masjid (mosque) for the purpose of worshiping Allah Almighty alone. It is in accordance with the believer's own wish, It is most common during the month of Ramadan, especially the last ten days.
I’tikāf has some rulings and conditions must be followed so, it would be correct and acceptable to Allah.
Some acts are permissible during I’tikāf and some other invalidate it.
