If you wish for your wealth to increase and your sins to be forgiven, then give in charity” - Muhammad ibn Salih al-`Uthaymeen

"When Allah blesses us with money, we depend on the money rather than Allah. We forget that the source of our provision is not and never was the money, but rather it was the giver of that money. Suddenly we’re willing to sell alcohol to avoid losing money in our business, or we need to take out loans with interest to feel secure. In so doing we are foolishly—and ironically—disobeying the Provider in order to protect the provision." - Yasmin Mogahed

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "No doubt, it is better for a person to take a rope and proceed in the morning to the mountains and cut the wood and then sell it, and eat from this income and give alms from it than to ask others for something." Sahih Bukhari (Book #24, Hadith #558)

Nu’aym Ibn Abd Al-Rahman narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Nine-tenths of the sustenance (rizq) is derived from trade."

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “An honest and sincere businessman will be raised with the prophets, siddiqin and the shuhada.‟ (Hadith, Tirmidhi)

"When you see a person who has been given more than you in money and beauty, look to those, who have been given less." (Muslim)

Money is a test from Allah. What are you doing with all your wealth, buying new clothes and shoes or are you extending some to the poor?

When your money comes from Halal, even a minimum wage will be sufficient to live a good life. When your money comes from Haram, it will always feel as if it’s never enough, even if you are making millions.

Islam allows the rich to get richer but prevents the poor from getting poorer.

"As a Muslim we shouldn't be money focused. Be legacy driven and use money as a scorecard so as a resource to have scale up your legacy building. KFC spend 1,000s promoting a burger, how much do you spend on spreading Islam? Be forward thinking." - Aaqib Ahmed

Prophet Muhammad (saw) was an entrepreneur. He married Khadijah (RA) who was a very successful businesswoman. They were both trustworthy and honest. They were hereafter focused and achieved a lot in this life too.

“… now we think to be humble we have to think low of yourself so guess what? If you think that you are stupid, if you think that are dumb, if you think that you can’t do anything then you are not going to do anything with your life. The entire ummah is thinking like that, the entire world is going to do nothing and when we look around the world today, the Muslims are not leading in any fields. It’s because we don’t have the confidence to lead, we are killing each others confidence.” – Abu Muawiyah

“We sometimes just have to let things be.

There are times in life that things happen, and we just cannot control them. There are times when we don't want things to happen, but they do. Things that we don't want to know, we learn. Times in which people we can't live without, we have to let go.

The greatest learning is accepting what has, what is, and what will be. Remaining focussed on where we want to go, and how we want to get there. It might not go the way we planned, or the way we hoped it would be. No one said life would be easy, but at least we keep trying, and working hard at making it the best life it can be.”

A quick and easy way to check to see if you have a pure heart is seeing how readily willing you are to give a compliment to others. If your first instinct when you see something nice or hear about the success of someone you feel constricted then know you have jealousy in your heart. If you genuinely feel happy for the other person and you feel secure with yourself it will be very easy to happily give a compliment. If you see traces of jealousy in your heart, train yourself to be content by realizing that everything is portioned with great wisdom. No one is going to take anything away from you that was meant for you. Realize the wisdom in the distribution of wealth, knowledge, beauty, and success. This will ease your heart, prevent you from eating yourself up and allow you to enjoy the beauty & success of others while feeling secure within. - Halel Banani

Allah :swt: even appreciates our intention.

The Prophet ﷺ describes two men:

One man whom Allah has bestowed upon wealth and knowledge, and he acts upon that knowledge and gives from his wealth; and another man whom Allah has given knowledge but no wealth, and that man says,

“If I had the wealth he had, I would do the same”. The Prophet ﷺ said “And they are rewarded the same”.

Remove the love of dinars and of dirhams from your heart until they become as pebbles and sand in your eyes. Remove the wish to be thought highly of from your heart until your are indifferent to people's praise and condemnation, and to whether they are attracted or repulsed by you. For the love of prominence is more harmful than that of money, and both indicate desire for the world.

Teach your children from a young age about entrepreneurship.

Qualities of leadership people, resilience, serving others, being in the upper hand to give rather than receive, negotiation, truth-worthiness, honesty, understanding other people's character and acceptance... The list is endless.

The qualities of good character & responsibility are nurtured and as Muslims these are the foundations of our faith. He (sws) came to perfect our character.

This is interesting. Thank you for the inspiring quotes. I am creating in the future again my 1st entreprenurial business called Nsyd Pen where we Pimp Ur Pen! We have these stickers called tags that we insert inside the pen to give life to it. Do you know that having this for your simple and cheap pen is very helpful and effective because I've noticed that you oftentimes lose your pen whether your at school or at work. You sometimes forget it at home or lose it on the road. Even gets stolen! So to have a unique, original, and personal pen this is what I thought of. When I was in 3rd year highschool, I was scolded by my teacher in PE because I forgot my ballpen and we have a test on the spot. I also frequently neglect the importance of a single and simple pen to have. Not making it personalized makes it look dull, boring, common, and just like any other pen of others that can be mistakenly thought of as not yours if an incident may happen like that, right? I thought of it one time while not enrolled and I was at the front vacant lot of our house in our village and I have no money and I was thinking of a way to make some. I was holding a pen a while ago and brought it there and I thought of the idea because back then I was already doing that with my name inside by tearing a paper and inserting it inside my pen. Therefore, the risk of losing it is minimalized. Get it? Ha ha. I still can't post links, just a few more posts left before I can do that so you can just search for Nsyd Pen on facebook or google. I have a fan page and a website on blogger. Astagfirullah but I'm really proud of what I have invented. It's truly one creative pursuit. Inshaallah with faith, I will succeed.

To become despondent on account of lack of means and resources is a sign that you have become worshippers of these resources and that your faith in the promise of Allah and His unseen power is but little.

Depending entirely upon Allah and with courage rise to the occasion and Allah will prepare the means otherwise, what can man accomplish by himself? Effort and struggle according to our full capacity is a precondition.

Stop doubting yourself,
Work for a higher purpose...

Imam Malik was asked "Why did you write the Muwatta when others have already authored similar?"
He replied "Things done for Allah remain."

When a child learns to walk and falls down 50 times, he never thinks to himself - "Maybe this isn't for me".

Always keep moving and walking on, for after every sun's setting is a rising, behind every storm is a refuge, and behind every fall is a rise.

Stay focused, be persistent, and never give up...
Even if that means doing something very small to reach a bigger goal.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are most consistent, even if it is small”

"Don't call Muslim women who have career goals or high standards "modern Muslims". There's nothing modern about female empowerment in Islam. Muslim women are given an extremely high status in Islam from when it was revealed. We learn from when we're young that Khadijah, the prophet Muhammad's wife, was so strong, beautiful, and independent. She took care of an entire business on her own, she rejected men who asked for her because they didn't meet her standards, she chose who she wanted to marry and he was younger than her. So if you think that Muslim women who make decisions for themselves are following some modern version of Islam you're absolutely wrong. Nobody "saved me", it's been this way all along."
