Even if the gift that you receive is insignificant in price, but what impresses us the most is that you'd crossed their mind. After all, "It's the thought that counts!".

As a for a gift which comes your way accidentally, it's value drops significantly.

The wife of the companion Abu Ad-Dardaa was asked,

"Which act of worship did you see your husband engage in the most?"

She said, التفكر والإعتبار "Deep thought and contemplation"

Just as you love to be thought about, Allah SWT does as well. In fact, the acts of worship were prescribed for His remembrance! Allah says,

وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي
"Establish the prayer for My remembrance" (Al-Qur'an)

Just as you busy yourself with the physical acts of worship, dedicate for yourself moments where you exercise this forsaken act of worship.
As time progresses, take note of the ever-increasing levels of your 'iman.

Very basic. Contemplate Allah. We forget the simpler acts, like a smile is also 'sedeqah', not necessarily giving money (kind of thing).
