Have you heard of a man called 'Imran Ibn Hittaan?
He was one of the most righteous of people, before he got married that is.
He was told, "this lady which you're interested in is from the Khawaarij sect!" He said, "I will change her"
They got married and shortly afterwards, he became one of the heads of the Khawaarij..
This is a reoccurring theme when one of us is advised before marriage to be careful, as "so and so is still not practising", "insistent upon sin", "missing Salaah", "is in and out of shisha lounges", "uninterested in the Islamic Hijaab", "earning from impermissible avenues", "is never seen in the Masjid" or its like .. but the response?
"Don't worry, I'll change him/her"
Time passes and without you noticing, *you* are the one who begins to change ..
Thus how beautiful, accurate and compassionate were the words of the Prophet PBUH when he said, "فَاظْفَرْ بِذَاتِ الدِّينِ"
"Marry the woman of Deen!"

Very true and if am honest no individual will change unless they truly want to change from within.
The change has to come from within.
It takes a lot out of you trying to teach someone good.
