:salam.

AFAIK, it will only become fardh if you fear falling into Zina.

Other than that, no, it is a great sunnah tho.
That is as far as I know tho.
Allahu alam.

To procreate is one of our main functions here on earth. It is so natural that we don't really need to be nudged in that direction. Only, to make it sanctified and protected in a civil way via the laws given.

Still people try find ways to circumnavigate it...

Assalamualykum.

Hope your well.

If there is fear of falling in haraam and being involved in any haraam as a result of not getting married then it will be fardh to get married.

Jazakallah khair.

Request duaas.

Mostly of unmarried Muslims don't care whether getting married is fardh or not fardh. What they care is only "How to find someone who is willing to marry me?".

Marriage is a great Sunnah of Islam. It is not befitting for a Muslim to not marry (without a valid reason).

There is a hadith in which Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasalam) said to that sahabah that wouldn't get married without a valid reason.

Nabi saw said to him,
النكاح من سنتي من رغب عن سنتي فليس مني
"Nikah is one of my sunnahs whosoever turns away from my sunnah is not from me."

The importance of nikah can be realised from the above hadith.

However in the hanafi madhab it only becomes wajib (necessary) if a person is unable to control their desires and fears committing zina.

Well then go for it. Do you really want to marry? It's your choice. But do not argue with your parents to the extent that you are hurting them, but try to stay calm and ask for Allah's(SWT) counsel.

I'm super asexual. I rather be alone and I don't see the point in marriage.

:salamext:

To get married is Sunnah - if you love the Prophet Muhammad :saws: then you would love to do what He did.
