Imam Ibnu Qudaama said,

"ويُكره أن يؤخر ختمة القرآن أكثر من أربعين يوما"
"It is 'Makrooh' (detestable) to delay the complete reciting of the Qur'an from cover to cover for forty days"

Imam Al-Qurtubi said,

"والأربعين مدة الضعفاء وأولي الأشغال"
"Forty days is the time limit for the weak ones and those who are preoccupied."

Ouch ..

Back to the Qur'an it is!

I mean we have to read the Quran from cover to cover, in 40 days. Reciting Al-Baqarah will take probably 2-4 hours.
