When can it be read? For e.g how long after Jamat/Congregation?

Is there any specific surahs to be read?

Any story/hadith behind it?

As soon as you remember

No

It was narrated from Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever forgets a prayer, let him offer it as soon as he remembers, for there is no expiation for it other than that.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (572) and Muslim (684); Muslim narrated an additional phrase: “or sleeps and misses it”.

Jazakallah brother Hamza. So if i missed Fajr and it is now 8AM, do i read Qaza for it or the normal 2 rakat sunnah mookada 2 rakat farz?

wa iyyaaka

If the sun has risen, you should have the intention of praying qadha salaah and pray it normally

Jazakallah, What about Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib & Isha? May Allah bless you.

I think if you weren't practicing before you don't have to make it up, that's what I was told at least.
