It is a painting/drawing so technically he is not in or outside. He is on the paper/screen :D

There's no option for 'both'.

I would vote both inside and outside.

Gosh that picture is so disturbing, it's messing with my mind. I say either answer is right - it's an optical illusion, so whatever you see.

What I saw at first was that he was inside, don't fancy being out in that weather tbh.

Outside the house, because of the roof light and the curtains..

Now I know how people feel when reading my posts :/

It makes very little sense.. The real answer is that it's not a house.. Even though it resembles a house.

Mfw the dog.. Lol.

10/10 for effort.. But as optical illusions go.. It's not Bob the builder.

After reading OPs post again.. He's still outside the house.

If he's not inside the house, then is the house floating or something lol

It's just a 3d picture painted on a house tryna make it look like the mans inside...

But it could be outside............. I say inside. I say OUTSIDE!!

definitely outside because the electric socket makes no sense outside the house same as the papers pinned on the wall , the door mat and if we consider the man to be outside note the door is in inclined position so there can be no floating house B) proved

The surface of floor and soil give me impression that man is inside the house.

(smile) The dog, unless he is a jinn (All creation is necessarily in alignment with God's Will (are Muslim) except humans and jinn. Humans and jinn have been given the option to chose that which is not God's Will, though their choice is dependent on His Will in order to exist. Jinn can take on the appearance of various things).

The upstairs window of the house gable - how he can go to the upstairs as inside hasn´t any stairs neither the whole upstairs? Nobody hasn´t kind of window near the ceiling without an attic.

Very reminiscent of Escher's work. Where did you find this?

Yes! That's what I thought when I first saw it, reminded me of his art (which I love).

Depends on what you see as the background.
